Well, tomorrows the day.

I'll probably leave in the morning so I just wanted to post this to let everyone know why I'll be MIA. I'm having a full hysterectomy with prolapse repair, cystocele and rectocele repair, bladder repair and hernia repair. Said it will be a 4-6 hour procedure and I'll be 2-3 days in the hospital. I'll be in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville TN. Also he will tighten and shorten the shute.

I've known some woman who had a hysterectomy and were out for about 3-6 weeks and I have had hernia work done many times, so I know what to expect there, but I am getting several things at ones and it is very extensive.

I'm also going to try and convince the doctor to remove this huge roll of stretched, loose skin around my middle, since I can no longer lift anything or do any type of ab work, ever again. Normally, it is considered a cosmetic procedure, so I'm not sure, but it would certainly be nice.

Good Luck and healing vibes coming your way! And it never hurts to ask. He's gotta cut it open anyway, and closing may actually be easier if he tightened it up a bit. My friends mom got a free tummy tuck with her hysterectomy.

When you can check back in and let us know how you are doing. Best of Luck!

Well this is my last gasp of the day. I'm getting ready to go and I thought that I would come on and say "later all." I'll be back in a few days and I'll let everyone how it went.

I'm back. Surgery went well. The 45 mile ride home kinda wore me out so I'll come back later to let everyone know how it went. Hubby is out buying groceries  and picking up my pain medicine. I'll be back later.

Glad you did well and that you are back. Hope you are comfortable and the doc gave you what you need so you aren't hurting too bad.
