I had just posted a rely to
School Starts in AUGUST, you Assholes!

and when I clean my glasses "SNAP" the frames break where the nose bar connects to the lens holder (my best way to describe it)

So i get to call off work and spend the day trying to figure out insurance and have Mom take me to get new glasses. I'm so nearsighted that w/o glasses I can't see clearly more than a foot away from my nose.

But I still love the optical type folks of the world.

Something I learned recently. If you go to Lenscrafters, they offer a 30% AAA discount on your frames and lenses, even AFTER insurance has paid a portion. Ended up getting my fiance 2 pairs of glasses with the scotchguard lenses for about $200.00. One pair was ray-ban, and the other pair was the Lenscrafters memory metal brand.
