My parents are in the living room watching Vanilla Sky. I saw it in the theater when it first came out. I spent the whole time thinking, "huh?"
When I realized what they were watching, I went in and asked them, "confused?"
My mom said "yes."
My dad nodded.
I said "get used to it." :D

No movie has ever made me go "Wtf!?" as Vanilla Sky. I understand it now but it took me a couple times to totally understand it.

"TECH SUPPORT!"
I never did see what was so hard to understand about it...

Never seen it. Now, my wtfyest movie was Mullholland (sp?) Drive. Saw it a loooong (couple years) time ago, and I don't remember much. But that's mainly facilitated by my lack of comprehension.

I guess because I was a kid when I first saw it made it harder for me to understand. But as far as movies go these days, that's probably one of the most complicated ones.

I was most confused by A Scanner Darkly.
I wondered why that dude with a hojillion eyes read all the sins of Whacked-Out Boy.
Maybe it was just a high moment.
It was funny to watch Keanu Reeves fast-forward the tapes of him having sex, though.

A Scanner Darkly I understood. But it was hard to watch because of they quality of the filiming. That comic book/real life overlay technique hurt my eyes after a while.
My wtf movies are "Ultraviolet" and "Donnie Darko". If anyone can explain these to me, I would be eternally grateful.

I don't know about Ultraviolet, but for Donnie Darko:
Take a mobius strip. Put it in a blender. Pick up the pieces and try to put back together. Wash, rinse, repeat.
(I understood the movie, but honestly, it hurts my brain to think about it too much.)

Have you seen The Fountain?
Now, honestly, The Fountain is actually really simplistic. It's the way it's filmed and story told that makes it SEEM extremely complicated. But if Vanilla Sky makes you have a WTF moment- The Fountain will make your head explode.
At least with Vanilla Sky the Tech Support guy explains everything at the end.

Eegh, I HATED The Fountain. I'd go so far as to say I LOATH it, but at least it had the decency to only waste an hour and a half of my life, plus Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz = Teh Hotness. :D
Teh Hotness". PFF! No wonder I didn't get it, I think that shit is funny! :o

After my dad saw Being John Malkovich, I asked him what he thought of it. He told me, "I didn't think much of it. The ending didn't make sense."
I was like - the ending? The whole movie didn't make sense! (I love that film, but... yeah.)
