We went to this ranch to sign up for Christian Service Internship today (school thing), and the heat was nearly unbearable. At 5 PM. In the tail end of September.

What the hell, Tennessee? Why can't you be like friggin' Colorado, and get cold already?

No. Go sit in the corner and think about what you've done.

It's 90 degrees in Boston today!! We usually get cold first. They are saying we will be in the 70's this weekend. Thank DYOC that I didn't let the fiance take the A/C out last weekend.

Baloney. It was cool well into June. Nobody was complaining then. Summer just started late. We also saw snow in April. Someone needs to set these seasons straight. How dare we get seasonal variance! I'm calling Kara to complain. :p

Ya know, heat isn't that bad. I've been out in 120 degree heat before in Arizona. Yeah, hot but tolerable. The bad thing is the humidity. Today it was supposed to get into the 80s. Ok, no problem. That is until that little shower came through around 230pm. Then it got muggy as hell outside. In walking the short distance to my truck, I thought I was going to soak my shirt through. :-p

I got in to work yesterday and apparently the air had been off all weekend. I have a little fan on my desk (they're a holdover from when they were in the old building and didn't have air conditioning, but that was before my time) - I had that thing blowing right on my face. They also have a five-foot square box fan that blows into the lunchroom for those days. Luckily they had the air going before lunch.

I feel your pain. All summer, I was back home in Whitehorse (Well on the way to the Arctic) but came back to Windsor (Southern Ontario) for school. All summer, I could be comfortable wearing pants and even a sweater. Now? OMFG HOT.

Two Fridays ago, it got down to 39 degrees after dark. WHAT THE FECK?! I had to turn on the heat! In September! Arg!

Funny though, when I think fall, I think massive mandatory overtime that only gets worse and worse and worse.

I know one thing...if I had a Miata, I'd have the top down most days :p It's been in the high-70s, low 80s (F) here for the past few weeks. I'm not complaining, since I've been getting work done outside :)

I know what you are talking about! You're right next door, so we got much of the same thing. I was forced to buy a new thermostat instead of putting it off until October. Our old one worked, but the thermometer on it never read the real temp, and would often be 5 degrees or more off both ways... it was old anyway, but I didn't feel like dropping $50 on a new (programmable) one so soon.

Mother Nature has a sick sense of humor... I remember back in either march or april-I('ll have to check my photos, as I took pictures), there was a really nice spring day, something like 75/80 degrees, then the following week we had a blizzard that dropped like 2-3 feet of snow in one night. Sick bitch that mother nature, I tells ya.
