She was outside playing last night and tried to do a cartwheel. She landed wrong and fractured two of her fingers on her right hand.

The ER put a splint type thing on it and made an appt. for her to get a cast put on. They wanted the swelling to go down before they put a cast on. She goes tomorrow for the cast, which she will have to wear for 6 weeks.

That girl is going to be the death of me!

As a father of 5 and a grandfather of 7.

The first kids you have, you worry about every little thing.

After three or four.. You ask if there is a lot of blood.

No blood= you will live.

Eben56, my daughter is my second of three children, but she is the one who hurts herself the most.

Goodness! Hope she gets to feeling better!

With my kids I ask 3 questions:

Are you bleeding?
Is something broken?
Are you going to die?

If the answer to all three is "No.", then my response is a very tired "You'll live. Go *insert whatever it was that they were supposed to be doing*."
