Well, our kitten just birthed her first litter last night. She's only about 7 months old herself, but both she and her baby (yes, just one) are doing great! We don't know yet if the baby is a boy or girl, but we're going to the vet today so we may know tonight.

Awww! How adorable!
:grats:
I must admit you scared me fo a minute... I was thinking, "Damn! That boy is younger than me and I started young- how could he be a Grandpa already?!"
*whew!*

Ooooh, how precious those grandkitties are.
*drooling into keyboard*
Do keep us updated as to how they are growing (and if you need, drop a PM.)
And here's a big :welcome: for the new arrivals.:D
What an adorable little thing.
So tiny.
Is only one kitten a usual thing for cats?
We had dogs when I was growing up, so I am not that familiar with cats. Any cats we did have usually had a few kittens when they birthed.

Kittens are the cutest when they get that baby fat belly. I had a striped kitten once that, when you considered the fat little belly and the pointy little tail, looked like an unusually large bumblebee.
Love me some kittens. I hope all goes well with yours.

Lol, I thought the same thing. I was like, "gbm isn't that old..."
Such a cute lil kitten. Good luck raising the youngster.

When they're young, they usually have smaller litters. I think since it was the first time she was in heat, she only needed to mate once to be satisfied.
The baby is a girl, and she's growing a little every day. Her eyes are still closed, but she's moving around more (when her mommy doesn't pull her back into the tube :p). Sadly, we won't get to see her anymore because we're moving and our old roommate is adopting the mother and the kitten :( But I did manage to get some more goodies before parting :)

I was going to make some unhappy comment about responsible pet ownership, but heck! Seven months? You don't spay till 6 months anyway, so it was already too late by the time it was due. That's a saucy kitty!
I was going to make some unhappy comment about responsible pet ownershipWell, since you have never struck me as the irresponsible type, gbm, and you were obviously very happy with the cute little kitten, and are already a little sad about having to leave them, I think you can probably disregard unhappy comments about responsible pet ownership since they so obviously don't apply and aren't necessary. ;)
