My wife was showing Kiri yesterday (UKC show, and TWO shows in one day).
Sure enough, BOTH judges for both shows said when she entered the ring:
"We are only doing bitches now, not dogs"
(Bitches refer to female dogs and dogs refer to male dogs).
WTF? SHE IS A FEMALE!! How the HELL do we expect these judges to be able to judge these dogs when THEY DON"T EVEN KNOW THE SEX OF THE DOG BEFORE OR AFTER THEY LOOK AT HER???
Why the HELL do they think she has a big BITCH STRIPE DOWN HER BACK??
(Female German shepherds get a stripe down their back).

Maybe you need to put a pink bow on her head or something...
They are too lazy to bend over and find out the other way ;)

Ever have one of those posts that make you do a double take? I was sitting here going "Wait what happened with me?" Yeah, my nickname is Kiri. ;)

I'd hate to say it, but one judge still called her a boy (He's going to grow up to be a big boy) AFTER her examination, and the judges do look for *ahem* that in boys.

I love the pic on her "fun pictures" page, where she's in the crate with the cat on top looking in at her. Too cute! (and pretty kitty, too!)

She's so beautiful. What a happy looking dog. :)
There is something I've always wanted to know about GSDs, why do they stand differently than other breeds when they are shown? I love watching dog shows and I have always wondered about that.
