Not Responding - when trying to chat.

I typed my name in the top line, and hit Go Chat...

...and then it kicks me off with a Program Not Responding error.

Java is latest, and activates if that helps @_@

Just worked fine for me - though nobody is in there. It's vaguely possible that the server was down at the time. Want to check now?

Tried twice, checked my security settings, and still Not Responding.

I know you've checked security settings already, but which ones? I ask because a "server not responding" is likely a firewall issue in my experience. I only see it when my firewall is blocking me.

Dunno if that helps, but it's something to check out, anyway.

In a possibly stupid move, I just tried it wirh tweakin the wall, and then turning it off.

Same results >_<

Due to a DDOS attack on the network a couple years ago, individual servers are masked, but you can try connecting to irc.afternet.org (or select Afternet: Random Server.)

If you're using mIRC, it connects to the last successful one you used instead of the random thing, so going to Select Server and hitting Connect to Server (assuming Random is already selected) tends to work for me.
