ive been in a good mood the past few days. a couple things have happened that made me happy.

first, on Thursday, our weekly shipment came in to the store. with it, our truck driver brought 5 kittens that he found in a dumpster(!) behind a walgreens in Chicago. they were all really cute, and really tiny. My store manager took a calico one, the SIMS coordinator took an orange tiger stripped cat, the truck triver took a white and brown one, a serivce clerk took a black and white one, and I took a black one, that has some dark brown stripes on him.

so we have a new kitten. Peter wants to name him Demon, cause he is a little demon cat. he bites and scratches alot. he scratched my lip in two places yesterday. but he is a little cutie.

the next day, me and Peter went to a car dealership. we drove out in a 2006 Dodge Stratus. the color is really pretty. Jade Mist. its a light green. i love the car. its a great family car. it drives really well, great sound system, has the car seat latch system, which means i don't have to struggle with the seat belt when putting in a car seat. you just snap it in.

today, i had a doctors appointment that Peter went to. he was able to hear the heartbeat for the first time. he was sooo excited. of course, i was happy to hear it. i love hearing it. so it felt good.

then i went to get my paycheck. i didn't think i was going to get a good one, cause of my vacation. come to find out, they paid me for it when i didn't think they were and i got almost $400 more than i thought.

so peter and i went and opened a joint checking account. that was nice. then we went out to eat and then to target so i could buy the nice Simpsons DVD.

ive had a pretty good week.

Awsome!!! It's nice to hear that things are going so well for ya this week.

I hope everything continues!! :D

I have a barn cat that is a little pest, he's actually a HUGE pest. This cat is so big, I think he weighs 18lbs. And he's not fat either. Just really big, I think he may be part bobcat. He bites and scratches all the time. Yet other times he is the most loving cat ever. I called him Simba cause he fits the profile, but often times I end up calling him other names.....and not demon. :D

That is so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't ya just love it when stuff turns out better than planned.:D
Oohhhh new kitten!!!! I love kitties!!

Speaking of gigantic cats, I used to have one named Simba as well. He was orange with little tufts of fur at his cheeks so he kinda looked like a lion. And he weighed 23 lbs . . . . . . .

Congrats :) Glad to hear things are going well!

We got our furbaby a similar way. A coworker of my mom's found the mamacat horribly abused by the side of the highway. She brought her to the vet, where it was found she was about to have kittens (mama didn't survive the birth). There was our fuzzball (white with ginger spots/markings, fairly unusual), white with black and white with gray. He was the only one of the three to have double paws (7 "toes" on each front paw).

Coworker took the kittens until they were old enough to be adopted out, then brought them into work in a blanket-lined box and asked who wanted a kitten.

Came home that afternoon to a note saying "New Kitten!". I go upstairs for a snack and this tiny ball of ears, feet and fluff comes creeping out from under the potato bin

We named him after a baseball catcher as his front paws are huge, and his birthday is April 1 (that's when we got him, and it seems to fit his personality).

<pout> It seems everyone's getting kittens but me. :(

But seriously, sounds like you're in an awesome place right now. A 2006 model car? Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!!!

Glad to hear all is well :) Weeks like that rock.

And I think I may also be getting a kitten...or two.

The neighborhood stray chose my neighbors' yard down the street to give birth in and she had 4 babies. 3 gray tabbies and one black all-over, they're 2 months old now. One tabby and the black kitty were adopted and the two that are left think that I'm the best thing since cat food. I need only to come by the yard and they climb down the steps, through the area fence (it's large vertical bars, iron) and run to me. And they're still small enough to fit ito my palms (and i have small hands).

Problem is, landlord. No pets as per lease. Then again, he didn't bring the lease the past 4 months...or looked into the apt. Or fixed it for that matter. -_-.

I have names picked out for them should they come home with me. Probably will never use these names since they answer to "baby" and the sound of shopping bags.

LOL, cat names are something you have to identify them to the vet. Each cat has several nick names about the house, usually none of which are the name it was officially given. :)

So when the tags will say Gin and Tonic, no one would notice? :P
