There have been a few posts lately about horrible animal abuse I just thought someone would like to hear a tale that has a happy ending.
An 8 yr old poodle was rescued from a puppy mill. He had never left his cage that was so small his spine was arched and his muscles were atrophied, his skin and lungs were burned from the ammonia from the urine left constantly in his cage, his teeth were a horrible mess so he couldn't eat properly and he had deformed knees from overbreeding. Once he was rescued he was given to someone with Asperger's who at first needed to keep him in a baby carrier and monitor him constantly. Now they face the world as a team helping each other stay calm and socialize. The dog is so recovered and socialized that he is an official service dog. He is now well cared for and loved by his new family.
