It is said that we buy cars to fit our personalities. What do you drive? How is it like you?

I drive a 1998 Chrysler Concorde. It's old, has a lot of hard miles on it and isn't nearly as pretty or as efficient as it used to be.

I have a 2002 Hyundai Elantra. It is a dark gray, but in the sunlight it has a bit of a purply sparkle to it. It's nothing flashy, but it's dependable and gets me where I need to go. I am a quiet person for the most part, but when I am with friends I am a bit more outgoing. :)

Huh, I never thought about it before, but I guess it does kinda fit me. And here I thought it was just what I could afford. Maybe that's why I was drawn to the color that I picked. It's a little different but you can't necessarily tell at first glance.

I drive a forest green '98 Mazda 626. It's, uh, dependable. And cute. I guess I can live with that.

I drive a 2007 Saturn Vue in Deep Blue, which is the last year they made the original model before they changed it completely. It fits my personality in that I want a car that's useful but not excessive. I picked the 4-cylinder, front-wheel-drive, manual transmission model, which stickered for less than US$19,000 and gets around 25 mpg overall, sometimes better. Too bad they have no plans to make the second gen Vue with the manual transmission.

The current Irvmobile is a 2002 Saturn SL1.

I think it fits my profile in that it's practical, not too flashy, doesn't really stand out, and is dependable.

I drive my mom's silver 2000 Expidition. It's necessarily big and convenient for storage. :D
In a few months it will be solely mine.

White Mitsubishi Galant 2001. It's okay, I guess. It's my first car and I enjoy driving it. Beyond that, I really don't see how it fits my personality. It's a car. Wee.

I drive a red Taurus station wagon. It fits my personality because it is dependable but to really fit, it would need to be something much weirder and unique. If I were rich and could have any car I wanted, my dream car would be a 1974 Volkswagen Thing. They were convertibles that looked just like German Army jeeps, except in bright colors like orange and yellow. I love weird stuff. :)

I have a 2000 Ford Focus SE, gold, the hatchback model. His name is Irwin, because I got him right about when Steve Irwin died- my godmother passed away the same month, but she always believe in naming cars a name the opposite sex of the driver, so I couldn't name him for her.

Irwin is quite sensible and not too gaudy, but with a little bit of sparkle when you clean him up nice- kind of like me, usually dressed in sweats but able to clean up nice for special occasions. He is a little high maintenance, though- was used awfully hard early in life- also like me. Irwin and I both have big asses, and we have both learned to accept this and that we will never really find that perfect pair of jeans because we refuse to wear J Lo's brand designed for girls with some booty.

Irwin can be a bit cranky and noisy when it's cold. Me too. Irwin takes a while to warm up in the winter- I take a while to warm up to new people. Irwin's had some work done- he's got a new rear hatch and bumper after an accident before I got him. That, I haven't had, though I did have an appendectomy.

I drive a big green GMC Safari van that pretty much seemed to name itself "The Big Green Bitch." It is comfy and homey and a bunch of camping gear and fencing equipment lives in it. My van is more prepared than your average boy scout, and its local legend among those that know me is that no matter what you might need at the moment, it will be inside the Big Green Bitch. So far, that's been true. Considering the fact that it's sort of my little portable home sometimes, it suits me.

My husband drives a silver PT Cruiser named The Shadow (you know, "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows." ) It's quirky, handsome, funky, and strange looking. Just like my husband. :D

Hmm I drive either a 1989 Dodge Ram farm truck. High miles, beat up and not as good looking as it was when new but still running strong.

Or a 91 Cadillac. Smooth, sophisticated and still a strong runner while being a comfortable ride.

Or for road trips (what few there are anymore) a 90 Dodge Ram van. Big dependable and effective.

So I don't know what you want to make about those vehicles and the aspects of my personality they represent. I dont think that deeply about things. I've owned too many cars inmy life to consider it.

I drive a white '97 Acura 3.2 TL. I think it only suits me because of the plates (one mirrored scull and crossed sabers, and a vanity plate), and the bumper stickers:
-Eschew Obfuscation
-Live Every Second As If Your A$$ Is On Fire
-I (heart with crossbones) Pirates
-I (club) Cheaters
-I'm Diagonally Parked In A Parallel Universe
-Are You A Good Witch Or A Bad Witch
-Real Princesses Wear Combat Boots
-Stop B!tching And Start A Revolution

...And that's all I can remember right now.

I drive a 2007 dark red Honda Element. I have the LX - the one with the gray body panels.

I love it because it's quirky, practical, and cute....just like me!!

(I'm incredibly quirky, but I joke that it's OK, I can get away with it because I'm cute :) )

I drive a 1998 Saturn SL2. That car is tough, can take a few knocks, keeps going (has 140,000 miles on it), and it doesn't care as to how it looks.

My car does not fit my personality.
I drive a red 2005 Taurus. It has very low head room, the people that designed the interior had no clue what they were doing, and it's just boring!

As you all know, I am anything but boring!

My ideal vehicle, which I had before this car, was a 1998 Ford Expedition. I LOVED that thing! Big, gutsy, lots of storage, incredible sound system (for a factory install) and it just fit me. And it looked a lot better than the new Expeditions.

The reason why I got the Taurus was I couldn't beat the price. After trade-in, rebates and down payment, I got the car for less than half-price.

My car fits my budget- not my personality.

It's a white, 1993 Plymouth Acclaim and it's paid for- in full. The interior is dark grey and is ugly. I call it the Beach Mobile because the trunk has enough room to fit all our toys and the interior is shot so I don't care if sand and seawater gets everywhere.

I own a '97 Ford Aerostar. It's big. It's blue. It can haul 4 screaming kids, 3 pissed off cats, 2 insane adults, and a puppy on another adult's lap. *try singing that to the tune of "The 12 Days of Christmas"*

It has gothic fairy stickers all over it.

I  this van. It's got almost 160,000 miles on it and still runs like a champ.

It really fits my personality. That whole "deal with everything" bit that I have going on in my life.

...my dream car would be a 1974 Volkswagen Thing.

Things RAWK! We have a few of them here in town, and I have always loved them. they are like bulldogs....so ugly they're cute!

My vehicle, which I have mentioned here and even posted a picture of, is a blue two door 2000 Chevy Blazer, which I got when I traded in my blue two door 1989 Chevy Blazer. The first one was so good, when this one came along I couldn't resist!

It is named, of course: Cathy. Or the Jestermobile. Or Jester's Blue Cab, Mark III. (My third blue car in a row, and I've only owned four cars!)

How is Cathy like me? Well, she's dependable and reliable. Will almost never let you down. Has power you don't expect when you most need it. You never see her coming, she kind of sneaks up on you. She is versatile, and can do almost anything you ask of her. She is very maneuverable, and squeeze herself into spots you wouldn't expect her to be able to. She's decent looking, without being gorgeous, cleans up well, and looks great in blue.

Yep....that is me! Cathy RAWKS!

I don't actually own a car. *Sad*
But, when I'm home, I get the family cars. However, I can't think of any ways that either a Civic or a Tundra fit my personalities.

I've got two cars. A '79 Camaro which I think fits pretty well, at least my hair seems to go well with it. :D

The other is a '92 Protege, but that's more of a budget thing.

I have a 99 Saturn SL2, forest green. Stick shift, too.

Small, dependable, not too fussy. Car is very PMS'y sometimes (Just like me, how cute). I'm having a hard time deciding whether it's a female or a gay male. (I'm one of the guys, but I'm definitely female. It's a little easier to tell with differentiating body parts.) Stick shift = out of the ordinary in a sedan, just like I ain't no ordinary chick, but I look normal enough to fool ya. The only thing that doesn't really fit here is that the car doesn't have enough power (only 4 cyl.). I am not the strongest thing in the world, but I am certainly no weakling either. Meh. I still think my car fits me quite well.

Oh yeah, and I always have a flashlight, multi-tool, and tampons in the glovebox, and horse riding stuff in the trunk (or boot).

I have a lil riced out 2000 Z24 Cavalier. Used to have a fart can on it but after getting sick and tired of cops following me everywhere, I shelled out the cash to get a normal muffler installed. Still has a whaletail and a Z24 sticker for tinter thing to block the sun.

At first thought, I couldn't really make any connections between my car and I. I'm not showoffy like my car's appearance would say. But I guess I can think of some more subtle things. My car is only a 4-banger, nothing extra under my hood. That's pretty much me. I'm there, I don't do anything to myself to make me more than I really am. It's 7 years old and I have about 82,000 miles on it. It's young enough to do stupid things in, but old enough that I don't care about getting a few dings every so often.

If I were rich and could have any car I wanted, my dream car would be a 1974 Volkswagen Thing.

Those cars are so cool! If you've never seen one before, they look like the bastard love child of an original Hummer and a Beetle.

Well, my old car was a 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis--it was like me in that it was thirsty, white, big, and kinda slow around town, but it was also dependable, comfortable, handy, and a nice ride--just like me. :eyewaggle:

As for my new car--it's a 2006 Pontiac G6, and I'm not entirely sure how it fits my personality. It's good-looking, shiny, sporty, and turns well--not my strong suits, I'd say. :p

My Dad used to have a "Thing" when I was a kid. That car was so awesome!

I drive a 2002 Mustang.. It fits me well. I wish it was black though. I love fast cars :)

I'm gonna drive a '98 Honda Accord. It's a pewter grey, and I can barely get in and out of it.
I think it fits me, because I don't want my friends dicking around while I'm trying to drive, and this car is so small, none of them will fit in it!

The problem is that I can't fit my guitar cases in the trunk.
So if my $2000 Martin goes with me, it goes in the backseat - where some dillhole in the parking lot can easily steal it.

I drive a 2005 Honda Accord. Its a 4 cylinder model. It gets great gas mileage (30mpg during my regular city/highway commutes, 35mpg all highway).

It doesn't really fit me. I like techie products, and my Accord is a little low tech. However, it is dependable and reliable, just like me. It has a lot of space for my friends and family, so I say that it is inviting, like me :) And it has a clean and simple look to it, like me.

However, with my constant need for new tech products, and something thats a little faster, I will be looking forward to next year to see what Acura might bring to the table in terms of a new TL or TSX. Possibly a new Lexus in my future. Been saving my money for a long time, a house and new car is in my future.

I drive a 2006 (which means 2007 with this car) Scion xB. She is my precious. I was originally going to get it in a navy blue, but opted for Red Salsa Pearl when, the day before I went to get the car, my team won the world series. Yay Cardinals! The next day I found out there was only one red car in the whole city so I got it.

I love that car. She is a quirky beast, and very unique, and such a fun ride. The best thing is the gas mileage. You wouldn't expect a square car, totally lacking in wind resistance, to have good mileage but she does.

I drive a 1999 Cadillac Seville. It's big, bulky, drives hard, kicks ass, takes names, and can win in any wreck.

It's a car for assholes, like myself. It's a bully car, pure American V8 pwnage.

I have a red 2001 VW Jetta Turbo. It's funny, because I didn't even pick out the car - my dad had a friend at the dealership who called him when it came through (under 30,000 miles used, good price, etc), but I think the car is a perfect fit for me.

It's a bit loud, attracts attention, is cute, and still gets the job done - it has a fantastic trunk for its size, and it takes some knocks and keeps on going (she's been hit many times). She's definitely fast, as well, which can be dangerous as I tend to drive too fast, but she's a lot of fun. And I suppose the big trunk fits with my white girl booty (I've been told I've got the butt of a black woman, many times.)

My VW is named Daisy, because the same weekend that I got my car, my dog had to be put to sleep, and her name was Daisy. I still have her collar hanging on the rear-view mirror.

And at work, people have NO trouble determining which car is mine, thanks to the MSU and indie band (Treaty of Paris, Blame Twilight and Ludo - Three bands I have friends in) bumper stickers, along with the Angry Bunny in the right rear window. :D

I cruise around in a dark blue 2007 Toyota Corolla. Hehe this is also my 3rd blue car in a row ;) It doesn't stand out by any means...but that's not why I got it. I wanted something reliable, economical (40-45mpg is freaking awesome!). Also in the fleet, is the 1969 MGB GT I've been restoring. It's bright orange--this is *not* an introvert's sports car :p

...this is also my 3rd blue car in a row...

My last three cars have been blue, my favorite color, and that makes 3 out of the 4 cars I've owned blue. I've referred to each of them as Jester's Blue Cab. Also, for some reason I truly don't understand, without requesting it, about half the rental cars I've ever gotten have been blue. Very amusing.

lets see - In Sept I became the owner of an '04 VW New Beetle Convertable. - Cyber Green - named:Kermie
Some of my new co-workers (part time holiday job) have said that it didn't suprise them to see me getting in my car after work - that it fits me.
I tend to smile and be happy, green is my favorite color . . .and there is something about seeing a covertable going down the high way with a (9 lb) dog in the passenger side with its nose in the air sniffing away.
I collect frogs . . .so the Kermie part was easy to come by.
