So, if you have your mitts on a very cute animal, do you then put it's ears in your mouth?

No, I'm serious.

No, seriously.

I just found out my sister does this, and I was stunned because I DO IT TOO. Then she went on to say there's actually a term for it. "Soft Kronsching."

:jawdrop::wtf:

I did it to my pet rabbit a long time ago. I did it to my cat. I even did it to my dog. Hell, I'd do it to my kid if her ears were easier to get to. What is UP with that?

Heh. Yeah, I do it. I have no idea why, but when I have a mammiemal with cute wittle ears, I have to put 'em in my mouth. I won't chew on them, but sometimes I'll press the outer edge between my lips-gently ofcourse.

If you're weird, then I'm right there with ya!!

I do it all the time with Bud, my dog. I (gently) bite his nose at times, too. :D

"Soft Kronsching," eh? Sounds like a German pretzel.

www.cuteoverload.com refers to this practice often. While I will sometimes kiss my cat's head or nose, I have yet to actively attempt to eat her. ;)

I've never put an animal's ear in my mouth.

At the risk of being made fun of by the male population on this site, I'll own up to kissing my cats.

My parents' house is a split level. One cat would sit perched on the main for by the door (since this is a split level, the landing was below the main floor). I would look at her, pucker up and she'd put the tip of her nose on my lips. Everytime I left the house she would do this. Don't know how we got started on it or anything, but yeah.

Ok, I've exposed myself as a male-wimp.

I've often said that the only males I ever kissed were my dad and my cat. So, wimp my ass. Cats rock. I am a cat guy. And the only people that call me a wimp are my older sister The Witch, guys who can carry full kegs over one shoulder, and any of the rest of the population that wants to live the rest of their lives getting their meals through a straw.

As for the ear in mouth thing....um, not only have I never done it, until today, I had never even HEARD of it!

I don't do the ear thing but I do kiss and hug my dog.

I've never heard of the ear thing either.

I am notorious, however, for kissing and hugging my four-legged babies.

Of course, I do have one that doesn't like to be kissed . . . but he gets plenty of rubbing.

I kiss my chihuahua on the forehead all the time. He's just too adorable to resist. ;o)

I will admit to having nibbled kitty and ratty ears.

YES. The ears of cute things go directly into my mouth. :)

I also like to squeeze paws.

Something that runs in my family, and I'm now wondering if its more common than I thought: Does anybody here grind their teeth when looking at something adorable?

Just saw this post now, and I have to respond...

Chihuahuas have the cutest heads in the world. My family and I have owned several chihuahuas, and we always said that their heads were "warm and bally".

I later learned that the correct term in the dog world is "apple dome". :)

Tazzy the T-girl! and I rub noses... supposedly that's the cat's ultimate sign of affection. She does it often, so I assume she likes me.

I've never heard of it either. My old kitty would give me kisses constantly. Snow? Not so much. She's odd that way.

I've been known to bite my dogs' ears, but that was for a correction. ;)

Normally? No. Hugging, kissing, and cuddling? Definitely.

Hehe, we call Pablo "apple head" all the time (in a cutesy fake-Spanish-accent voice that we tend to lapse into when talking to/about him ).

I don't put the ears IN my mouth, but I do like to rub them on my face or between my fingers. That little spot just at base of the ear is the softest furry spot there is!

I love Cute Overload :D

What I find the weirdest about it is the fact that, at least for me, the urge to put the ear in my mouth overrides the common sense part of my brain going "Uh, you don't know where that's been." That, and the fact that enough people do it that there is actually a term for it.

Frankly, I'm blown away by all this.

Do you think it's some sort of primate holdover from grooming behaviors or something?:headscratch: I'm fascinated by this.

Not only do I do the ear kronchie (seriously, YOU look at Lili's ears and tell me not to) but I also do the deep belly snorggle. It's like a raspberry for me but you literally face plant into said fluffy belly and just enjoy. I have been known to kronch a paw or two but yeah, try not to knowing where those adorable pads have been.

*giggles* Yeah, I have even bleened. Can you tell how much time I spend on CuteOverload?

Ya know when people blow on a baby or kid's tummy and it makes a loud fart noise?

If my kitties are rolled over or even Bear the dog is doing it, I'll blow onto their bellies and go "PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT!"

I do the ear thing too! And here I thought I was a weirdo...

I know the ear spot you're talking about Bookstore! That spot of fur is softer than bunny fur! I probably go for that spot more often than any other fuzzy spot.

I love the belly snorgle. My cats are not so fond of it but they will tolerate it for a few seconds. I can't do it to Pablo cuz his belly's got no fur! (Just a little peach fuzz.) I like to rub their feet between my fingers (paw pads!!) but I tend to keep them away from my face...I've never put a foot in my mouth (at least not on purpose :o)

What is bleening? (I go through CO phases...I was on it for a while last night because of this thread and then I will forget about it for a few weeks and then spend another hour there)

When I'm just watching TV or reading with an animal in my lap I find myself absentmindedly just rubbing that little spot. I love it!
