So, I was driving home from the grocery store in the car I had just bought Tuesday. And... before we go into more, let's look at it in it's unsmashed beauty...

So, I was going getting ready to go into the turn lane when a lady pulled out of a parking lot and t-boned me. Since I had the right away, she admitted fault and she was given fault for the accident.
I'm pretty much alright, my elbow kind of hurts and my neck is a bit stiff. My car though... :(

Thankfully, I still have my other car.

That sucks. It looks like it only involved the door and 1 panel though, so it might be fixable :)

Yeah... the rear panel just got scratched up.
It should be fixable. I have to get ahold of her insurance agent or company today. I want to get the ball rolling on this, as my other car is up for sale.

That's not bad at all. Easily fixable. If it was hit alittle closer to the tire, well, both of ya would be  now.
Awww...sorry about the accident.
Does this mean you will or won't be accenting it with the same hideous and horrible colour as my MSN font? :p ;)
Fashion Lad!: I'm trying to figure out the color scheme for the new car
Ree: ooh
Fashion Lad!: Yeah
Fashion Lad!: It's silver
Fashion Lad!: What do you think
Fashion Lad!: Should the accents be red, black or blue?
Ree: hmm
Ree: silver and black is classy,
Ree: silver and blue is nice
Ree: I'm not sure about the red
Ree: but then, I am forced to wear red all day long
Ree: red is not on my list of favourites
Fashion Lad!: ALright
Fashion Lad!: I'm kind of leaning towards the black
Fashion Lad!: Or blue myself
Ree: yeah
Ree: what shade of blue?
Fashion Lad!: But the person who owned the car before me started on the red accents
Ree: ah
Fashion Lad!: I'm not exactly sure yet
Fashion Lad!: I'm kind of thinking the blue like your font
Ree: so staying with the red is easier
Ree: yeah...it's a nice blue
Fashion Lad!: No, it's hideious, that's why I want to go with it
Ree: lol
Ree: I like it
Fashion Lad!: Horrible
Ree: lol
Fashion Lad!: I'm going out for a few dozen beers
Ree: Later!
Ree: ok
Ree: see ya
Ree: me and my horrible font will still be here:P
Fashion Lad!: Later!

FL:
Glad you're ok.
Did you get insurance info from that person? Hopefully so.
Take pictures (you have) and keep them for later. Here in Alaska the "estimators" arent as common, I had to get 3 diff estimates from body shops.
Get estimates to cover your butt BESIDES the "estimator person" visiting your car. They will always underest. the damage.
When taking to bodyshop, make sure that Bodyshop, Insurance and YOU are all on the same page before starting.
Good Luck.

I'm surpised the woman that hit you admitted guilt. In all my accidents the assholes that have hit me lied like a rug to try to get out of getting citied. That's why whenever I see an accident happen I always stick around as a witness in case the person at fault tries to pull that shit.

About 6 years ago my parents were t-boned in their honda accord (it was a 89) they were making a left turn with a green arrow, the girl in the car that hit them blew thru the light and didn't even hit the brakes. My folks car was looking even worse then yours and they still fixed it (mind you it was over 10 years old at the time of the accident too). You should be good to go after the body work is done. Good luck with the insurance stuff for it.

That sucks!
My family has had 2 cars wrecked like this.
First one was "my" 1987 Ford Tempo. Dad had it up on Mt. Washington, and was pulling out of a parallel space. Some idiot in a 1970s Pontiac was zipping through a school zone, and drove into the side of the car. He took out both left doors, knocked the mirror off the passenger side, blew out some of the glass, and threw the car 40 feet  Let's just say my father got f*cked up. He had a nasty concussion, whiplash, and was seeing spots for a few days. The idiot got out of the charges--he claimed my father pulled out in front of him. Nevermind the fact he was speeding in a 15mph school zone! The car was never the same after that--the frame had been bent just enough that the driver's door would sometimes fly open if you slammed on the brakes...
Second one was a few days after Christmas in 1999. My brother (along with my other brother, and some friends) was driving the family Saturn (a '95 SL2), when it was totaled. He was making a left turn, and some idiot in a pickup hit him. Truck driver was on the phone, and blew through the light. The car was smashed up so bad, EMS had to cut it apart to get the people out

Good luck with the insurance stuff for it.
Thanks, hopefully I don't get too much hassle. I picked up my accident report today and in the report she fully admitted to pulling out after not looking my direction. So, I think I should be good.
My dad and I pulled out the window last night. It was kind of just sitting there, a good enough bump and it would've fallen out.
Aw, it's just a flesh wound. MadMike, now HE knows about car damage! It may not have been as serious as Mike's accident, but I'm sure it was no less upsetting to Fashion Lad! to have his brand new car damaged like that through the carelessness of someone else.
It could just as easily have been serious, and I think, to say something like that, no matter how well-meaning, trivializes his pain and upset.
