When the pictures come up, you'll be able to meet Romeo. He's the latest hire up here at the office. So far, he seems to think he runs my office. He also talks WAY too much and really hates having his photo taken. I might have to write him up for sexual harassment if he keeps rubbing my leg.
;) :D

Before the pictures are approved, let me take a guess, is he a cat?

*snickers* Sure ruin my fun while waiting. Yeah, he's a black and white tuxedo kitten. 3.6lbs of fury. Right now, we're napping while I'm doing AR stuff. Life is good again (especially since my home baby is getting snipped and declawed today, I'm sad).
Now, to get him to quit sleeping in the litter box...

Yep, cats are fun to have at work. For me, have a white kitty that comes by once a night to go into the barn and hunts mice. More fun over this summer as kitty brought by her 4 kittens. The kittens would play while mommy would catch a mouse. Unfortunately they didn't like me. Of the kittens, one got run over but the others have been given away. The mother cat came by last night again so she's doing okay.

Awww work kitties are awesome. I did feel horrid leaving the lil guy after work but I left the radio on and my scarf in his sleeping box (and shut extra doors just incase). LOL this will get me to work on time if nothing else.

Romeo is probably the cutest employee at the place!
Work kitties are fun. A lot of train shops (hubby and son are train fanatics) have kitty mascots. They're usually very friendly, too. :)

;) I have to agree.
What amuses me is all the guys out here were whining about me getting a cat. Guess who's been hogging him all day? *grins*
It's cute, he's passed out cold on my desk right now. See what happens when you spend all morning schmoozing the copy lady, repair guy, the electrician, and all of the apprentices??

One of the cats we adopted from the shelter was an office cat. We came in, and he was sitting up on the counter. I walked over and started petting him, and he started licking my hand. Then when we went to look at the other cats, he followed us the whole time. I guess he really wanted to go home with us, which he ended up doing.
The volunteers must have really become attached to him, because they seemed sad to see him go. I almost felt bad about taking him, but he seems happy here.

And I'm sure he'd love you too. He loves everybody. He's the most affectionate cat I've ever seen. He's about 11 years old now, and he still acts like a kitten sometimes.
One problem with him being the office pet who liked to hang out on the counter -- he started doing the same thing at home, and all the yelling in the world wouldn't even phase him. I actually thought he was deaf at first.
He's affectionately known as "Orange Bastard." One time when he was on the table, my wife yelled at him, "Get off of there, you orange bastard!" And it stuck.
He's extremely intelligent too. Before I finished the basement, it had a door, which I had installed a cat door on. While we were repainting the inside of the house, we locked all the cats down there, but he kept getting back upstairs anyway. It turned out he figured out how to spring the lock. I watched him as he put his paw on the locking mechanism, and kept pushing on it until it unlocked. I couldn't believe it.
