Wednesday after work, I go pick up Em at preschool. She's very happy to see me; gives my legs a big hug, gives me a big kiss, and tells all her classmates goodbye.
We're walking to the car and I look down at her. She is smiling and happy (either because I am there and we can now get chocolate milk, or because she is out of class :p)
Her mommy dressed her up very cute that day. I was thinking that as I looked at her. Pony tail, jeans with some lace and doilies and frilly stuff, cute shoes, and a pink shirt that said "Prunes."
"Sweety," I ask her, "Why does your shirt say 'Prunes' on it?"
Em stops, looks down at her shirt, and says "It says 'Princess' daddy. Duh! You need to learn how to read."
I look more closely, and sure enough, in that flowery, flowing, sparkled script is the word "Princess." Strange.. look at it when your standing, it says "Prunes."
Now Em won't leave me alone about prunes.
And don't get me started on the movie "Fuh Sun Nun Nun" starring the jalapeno on a stick. The supporting cast are dancing green olives.
