HUGE ice storm blew through. Despite it being nearly the second week in December, I still have... uh.. had...green leaves on the trees in my front yard.

Now, I have a lot of ice covered branches with green leaves on them... in my front yard.

I'm about a branch or two away from losing my power.

Here's some pictures!

And, this one is not for the faint to heart when it comes to classic cars..

I'll cross my fingers for you if you cross yours for me. I'm getting the northern end of that storm today and tonight. I hope it doesn't end up quite as white, but I've already been out one time to put down salt on the sidewalk.

I even bought some spray de-icer for my van windshield. I'm a southern girl and we don't scrape ice. :)

Would you hate me if I told you we have partial sun and 68 degrees right this moment?:p

We're having some strange weather here . . . just this past Thursday morning, I awoke to patchy ice and temps hovering around 32. Roads weren't bad at all . . . just a bit of ice in an occasional spot, but moreso on the outside of the car.

And yesterday evening I was outside on the front porch for quite a spell listening to music.

Tomorrow is supposed to be around 75, which is very odd here.

Does anyone have a calendar? It sure doesn't feel like December at all.

Uhh...we've only had two 'cold' days so far, and by 'cold' I mean a high of 60. I mean, I'm in Florida, so cold doesn't really exist here. But still, come on! It was 80 freaking degrees today. On December 29!! INSANE!

Oh, and TA, I have to say....ice hanging from the power lines just completely boggles my mind. I can't imagine seeing that outside my house.

That was so painful to see, the second link. That really, really, really, sucks. Our winters have been pathetic for a few years now. When I was a little kid, we got tons of snow every year. Now, we're lucky to get a few inches the entire winter. It's really lame.

So, tomorrow, it'll have been three weeks since the first post. Three weeks, and I still have tree branches on my power line.

Damn! And all I have is sunshine, sunshine and sunshine.
And 80° temperatures.

Did I mention I am wearing shorts, a t-shirt and flip flops?

go ahead and laugh it up, but when I show up at your door, you'll only have yourself to blame! ;)

We had a high of like 50F today. I raked leaves. :P

I hate you all. It's 6F right now, and the high for the *week* is 28F. (-14C and -2C respectively for us Canucks and metric types).

Oh well, at least snow removal doesn't seem to be an issue this year. And I think our powerlines are buried. :p
