Gift Cards and Shotacon

VISA....it's everywhere you want to be. Until the Credit Line is tapped out.

I really hate those Visa/AMEX Gift Cards. One of two things will happen:

* The person redeeming it doesn't know the value of the card.
* The person will know the value, but it will decline because of another store's "Hold" of more than the purchase price.

I had one customer that came in with one of those cards. Looked like a normal CC until....

Me: Hmmm, it got declined. *looks at the card* Huh, it's only good for $25.
SC: No it isn't. My bank gave it to me.
Me: It says right here on the embossed part, "$25 Courtesy Card."
SC: But my bank issued it. It's a legit Credit Card....
Me: ....good for only $25. No change.

Took about 5 minutes to convince the old hag that the "Credit Card" had limitations. And me cursing the bank for the deception.

SC: Hey, what will you do about those girls?
Me: *fist of death charging.....* ....wha?
SC: Those girls over there are talking about young boys.
Me: *sees two girls reading Negima and giggling* And...?
SC: You should call the cops about it!!

SC: Their up to no good!! I want to speak to your manager!
Me: Right here. Now, i'm gonna politely ask you to leave my presence.

Methinks someone didn't get any in high school and is a little jealous..... :p

I don't think so.... From what I understand, the main character is 9 years old. I think you might be right about the one guy, many girls thing and there might be a bit of fanservice, but I don't think it gets too adult.... Never read it, though.

I'm noticing that FYE is giving rebates in the form of those cards now (I think any amount over $19.99 comes in the form of a card and there's no option to request a check).

I've worked for a few places that wouldn't accept those, mostly due to the idiocy of the customer and them not knowing the value of the cards. Not only that, but when the customer didn't have enough money on the card it would tend to royally mess up the registers.

I remember working that an amusement park that wouldn't accept gift cards. This was mostly because of the Simon branded mall right down the road and they issued the Visa gift cards. The funny thing was that half of the stores at the Simon mall wouldn't even accept the gift cards. I guess they had a lot of problems with the.

I actually like those cards... I prefer them over the standard gift card... I always disliked the idea of gift cards as a gift... Why not just give me the money? It's essentially like handing me a fifty, and telling me I HAVE to spend it at Mew Mew's Prissy Kitty shop... (okay, exaggeration... I do get goft cards to places I ACTUALLY shop.)

But Visa/Mastercard/Discover gift cards can be used anywhere where credit cards are excepted, which is damn near everywhere... Even small family shops have a credit swipe machine, least in my area.

It solves two problems... It allows people who don't know what to buy me give me something without having to hand me cash (which I really wouldn't mind...), and it gives me free reign of the money.

Then again, I'm SMART and know how to use the bastards, I know all too well how bad they can be for stupid people. They just don't get it... it's NOT a gift card, it doesn't just deduct the remainder, if the products more than whats on the card it will decline!

And I always tell people theres a number on the back of the card that they can find the amount from.

I bet the bank told her what it was. Probably some compensation for trouble she had with them.

It's harem because this one guy teaches at an all-girls school, and the girls adore him and several crush on him. Because he's cute. Because he's somewhere in the 10-12 range. Which, if you ask me, is f-ing creepy.

There are upskirt shots A LOT due to magic sneezing, and I've heard some of them get more adult (not pornographic)* but they're sealed, so if the girls had opened and read one of those, yes, they would have been in trouble.

I've read about a volume or two of Negi. It's pretty harmless (mostly, these girls just scare the poor kid; he's really too young to be pervy about it); it's just that there's only so much "convenient" moments I can take with harem manga, and that one breeches it.
