View Full Version : SC makes another customer cry

Heard this today from one of the ladies at the service desk.

On the day after Christmas, a lady was returning 4 items at it was taking a while for the people behind the desk to process all the returns.

Some fuckhorn behind her decided it was unacceptable for her to be waiting and started yelling at the people at the service desk: "Come on! Get the show on the road! You must not know what you're doing if it's taking so damn long! Go faster!"

This of course made the service desk people go a little slower. Fuckhorn then decided to yell at the lady making the returns. "You don't need to be returning all that shit! I don't have time to sit here while you dick around with your stupid returns. You're just wasting my time!"

This upset the poor lady making the returns so much she began to cry. The service desk people told her "don't cry, this isn't your fault."

This upset the lady so much she told her daughter about the ass-chewing she got from the SC. The daughter apparently is going to write a letter to the editor of the local newspaper about it. I'd post it here but it would give away where I work if she named the specific store.

a good question is why the SC wasn't kicked out of the store... that has been one of the biggest rules everywhere I have worked, you can abuse the employees as much as you wannt but abuse another customer and your ass is getting thrown out.

Ok - this is the part where I have to ask: Why wasn't management called do deal with the situation? I mean, I know alot of managers don't care when their employees are screamed at (which sucks), but screaming at another customer should certainly be worthy of a reprimand.

I just can't believe the idiot was allowed to get away with it. Or maybe I should.

Sad - I'm glad I wasn't in the line. I definitely would have spoken up and probably gotten my ass kicked.

If I saw this, the result would not be able to be written about on this board. And if I were the daughter and some asshat made my mom cry, there would be blood, guts, and veins in the teeth.

It doesn't surprise me, though. I've gotten yelled at a lot of times in the store for A) taking my sweet time with the self-check, B) stopping at the end of an aisle to let someone else walk by (usually a little old man or pregnant lady with a full cart...come on, how hard is it to stand still for five seconds for the sake of being polite?), or C) responding to their idiotic behavior with scorn, sarcasm, and ridicule. Most people are so used to bellowing and bullying getting them their way that they never stop to wonder if the person they're trying it on is thinking about wounding them...

Ugh, some people just weren't made to put up with even the smallest crap. I feel sorry for them. As a customer, you could say anything back without repercussions but some just aren't built for such acts.

If this were a hundred years ago, she wouldn't have survived the brutal reality of life past age 20.

Sadly, she made no mention of management being called. She just tried to handle the situation on her own.

If I were the person behind the service desk, I would've called a manager over. If I were in line, I'd have a few choice words for Ms. Fuckhorn.

I'm wondering what she was there for...was she returning something too? If so, well, HYPOCRITE!!!:punch:

What sort of a rotten, foul, siffed-up CUNT of a bitch would yell at an old lady making returns on the day after Christmas?

This story's got my blood boiling just to read it !

I hope that karma brings something terrible and very painful to Ms. Fuckhorn.

The letter by the daughter was printed in the local newspaper recently. Here it is, with all identifying information (just the name of my store and the author's name) changed to protect the innocent, and for my amusement:

Dear Editor:

This is to the young girl who was standing in line behind my mom at the service desk at Irv's Fanschmabulous Emporium O' Crap on Dec. 26. I say "young girl" because she lacks the maturity to be addressed as a young lady.

I had given my mom some athletic apparel for Christmas. They did not fit and I told her to take them back to Irv's Fanschmabulous Emporium O' Crap and exchange them. No problem. Through no fault of my mom nor the service desk lady, it took awhile to straighten everything out.

The young girl behind my mom had the audacity to say to mom "You know, you're holding up the line."

I just want to say to this girl, how incredibly rude you are. Do you realize how much you upset and embarrassed my mom unnecessarily? First of all, you chose to go to the store to exchange something the day after Christmas. Do you understand how busy stores are on that day and you may have to wait in line? Second, it's the holiday season. Where's your patience and kindness for people?

Thank you to the service desk lady and the others in line who did show kindness and understanding for my mom.

As for the young girl, it is my hope that you will make a New Year's resolution this year to grow up!

Author's name.

I said in another post that we should tattoo 'Patience is a virtue' onto these peoples arms. I think honestly that this person needs it branded all over them with a very hot iron.

I remember waiting in line at a best buy on a busy day last holiday season. Some SC, decided he was not going to wait in line so he just got pissed and put his stuff on the floor in line and left - what a douche!

It's not like waiting an hour for a two minute roller coaster ride...

I'd be interested in reading it. Copy and paste it and take out the name of the store if it's online. What a bitch.

I agree the younger woman should have been tended to but here's where I differ. The woman that was getting yelled at should have done the tending. She should have turned around and told loud-mouth to shut up. If you won't stand up for yourself why should anyone else?

It might not be that she simply refuses to stand up for herself. It could be that for whatever reason she feels that she can't stand up for herself. Some people, for various reasons, feel that they are not entitled to defend themselves. This could be due to lack of self esteem or simply because they are unequipped to handle this kind of situation. Maybe she actually believed that she was being a hold-up for everyone else and felt bad for angering the other woman. There could be a lot of factors at play here. Just a thought. The point here is that the younger woman was unnecessarily impatient and just plain rude.
