I was running errands this morning, and all of a sudden, my phone rings.
It was my favorite ex, just checking up on me. We tend to talk once a month or so, and this was the 1 month mark.
His mission of the day was to see if I am still downloading music, and if I am, to tell me that I should stop and delete the program, etc. etc. etc.
O...K...
And the kicker is, he said, "I was just thinking about you, and wanted to give you a call."
And he mentioned he doesn't like my phone bitch ringback, so I offered to pick out a new one, even though he didn't like the first one I picked out for him. Oh, well. Only one, maybe two, of my guy friends like my phone bitch. All the other guys HATE it.

Exes are strange.
What do you mean by bitch ringback?
Some of my friends have those ringbacks, where it plays a song instead of the usual ring ring before they answer. My one friend had it set to a country song, so I'd cover the phone and wait for the "Hello?"

My "phone bitch" is a ringback by Young Joc (never heard of him), saying that he is working for Elizabeth today, doing all the things he has people doing for him: answering the phone, taking messages, etc.
It's hilarious. My mom, of all people, picked it out.

LOVE the Phone Bitch. I think it's my favorite of the ringbacks I get when I call you.
Glad to know fav. ex© is still in contact. Give him a  from me.

I'm still confused...is "ringback" like a greeting before going to voice mail, except it then goes to the real connection?

You let your Ex tell you what to do?

Instead of hearing ringing when you call, you hear a song or message of the phone owner's choice.

You let your Ex tell you what to do?
No, but we are still friends. He never tried to tell me what to do when we were together, and he sure won't start now.
And besides--I shouldn't be downloading music, anyway.

...and it continues...
This morning, he calls and asks what my plans are for the day. I told him, "Working.":cry:
He says, "We're supposed to get 7 inches of snow, so I just want you to be careful."
I got all mushy. :o
I'm weird.

Well, maybe someone in your area got nailed for illegally downloading songs and got a huge fine?
Sounds like a sweetheart, though.

He claimed a while back that he got caught and was cracked down upon for downloading.
And yes, he is a sweetheart.

Fave Ex® called this morning to make sure I knew about the latest snowstorm about to descend upon us tomorrow, and to make sure I drive safely when I'm out and about driving to and from work.
Aaawww.
I'm such a girl.
