"Difficulties with teacher and concerns about being treated fairly"

"lost of interest and working full time"

"I received an unfair grade, I'm in the process of protesting the grade, unless it is changed I can't graduate from here"

Oddly enough, the first and last both have the same major.....

Those sound like pretty valid reasons to me. I've had to protest a grade because a teacher (online class) marked me down for reasons that were not included in the syllabus and which had nothing to do with the class subject- the class was History of Western Civilization One- in other words, doesn't go to modern times- and the teacher, after assigning an essay that included drawing parallels to the moder world in which she specified no sources besides our memory and the class book were permitted and that we were not to look things up while writing the essay, marked me down substantially for an incorrect fact about the Truman presidency.

For one thing, the 'fact' in question was highly subjective and had to do with the creation of Israel. So in essence, she took points off for disagreeing with her over the extent to which the US played a role in this historical event- despite that this material was NOT covered in class and the assignment specified the use of 'our own brains' as a source, and asked for opinions on the parallels to modern events.

The same teacher also marked down an assignment in which I was to list sources and briefly describe each, including at least one primary source, for not including a primary source.

I had included a listing for the premier primary source available on my subject, and in the description had written, "A primary source used by nearly all historians writing about...."

I also once had a teacher mark me down for giving a written answer to a test question rather than drawing a diagram. The question was simply, "What is the political spectrum?" That's it. No instructions to draw a diagram. The girl in the seat next to me gave a written answer and got the question marked correct.

Concerns about being treated fairly are quite valid. I withdrew from one course for the same reason.

Need to work full time is also valid. I can't work full time and take classes in person. It is impossible. I take online classes for that reason. But with over 20 pets, feeding them and myself comes before getting the degree as fast as possible.

In my rambling way, just not sure what the point of this post is...

Well, yes, had this been withdrawing from a course, it would make sense. But this is withdrawing from the uni.

And, it wasn't the working full time remark that I thought was funny, it was the lost interest.

Ah, okay, withdrawing from the entire UNI?

That's pretty silly.

It was kinda mentioned in the linked post. I should have mentioned that here.

Oh, in the annals of withdrawal forms that I have waiting for me to disable the accounts, I had a person with an academic suspension who had a GPA of... .2

Yes, point 2! I guess that means the student showed up to one class like... one day.

Whats a GPA? Have heard it a few times but not what it actually means...

GPA = Grade Point Average. 4.0 is the highest, equivalent to straight A's. 3.0 would be a B average, and so forth. A GPA of .2 is.... abysmal. Honestly, a lichen could probably do better than that.

Sadly, the GPA of the average student entering my class is about 1.4, and there are a few that are LOWER than .2

LOWER than .2

 :headscratch: :jawdrop:

What..? How..? Who could..? Even the dumbest people I knew had at least a 1.2.

*doing the math*

Out of 5 classes that person had to have failed 4 and got a D in the last one. That's a type of failure one has to work at to achieve.
