I don't think I've posted here yet. Often, my avatar changes reguarly because it reflects a character from a game I'm playing. Right now it's the main dude from Rune Factory. Previously, it was Serph from Digital Devil Saga. I believe I also had one that was the main dude from Persona 3. I don't really remember what else I've used, if anything. And often the tagline or whatever it is below it is something relevant to that character as well.

Edit: Ditto on the skinny girls for wimps. The aggressive nature and overall figure was what initially attracted my to my wife and I'm very happy with her.

I change mine here once in a while. At the site I admin, we can use avatars up to 150 x 150 pixels and 60k. So I look for offbeat stuff just to throw people off. I change avatars there at least weekly, sometimes even more often. Very little of the avatars that I use there translate well to this forum.

I think it's fairly obvious what mine is. Hockey is my least favorite of the big 3 US major league sports but since the Steelers bowed out and the Pirates have yet to start training, (they're gonna suck anyway) it's the only game in town.

Mine is Pablo. I change it from time to time, but it's always Pablo. I put this one up right after New Year's with the line "Iz hunged over" but someone pointed out that he was still hung over 2 weeks later so I changed to just sleepy.

The funny thing about the current pic is that he was not posed or anything, he got himself in that position. When I lived with him I would sometimes wake up with him laying next to me, on his back, head on the pillow, feet sticking up in the air (which is funny cuz when he's awake he does not like to be turned on his back. He loves to have his belly rubbed, but he will stand and arch his back up rather than roll over for it :rolleyes:). Another time, when I was still with my ex, I woke up with my bf 'spooning' behind me, and I looked down and Pablo was laying on his side, his back to my belly, feet sticking out in front, being the 3rd spoon. I think he thinks he's people. :lol: He'll also stay in bed all day if you let him.

We are (waaay over)due for a visit soon. I want to borrow my dad's camera and take some more pics. I also need to get him on my phone, cuz I haven't seen him since I got my new phone with the camera.

Mine is a pair of devil horns I made for a friend's class. The school she works for makes each grade level prform 2 plays during the year. I wrote and directed the last one her class did. When the day before the play (Feb, 28th) came around I had still not found a store that still carried horns that long after Halloween, so I spent the night making the two pairs of horns needed (the play involved the :devil:, one of his minions and an :angel:; for Christmas the school did a play with two :angel: so the halo was already in the prop room)

Afterwards, I kept one pair and let the girl playing Minion keep hers.

I normally use a picture of one of my two cats, but when pissed off the horns come out. :devil: They should be gone soon.

So I changed to a pic of some pumpkins I craved this last halloween. You can kinda see a second one in the back. I craved five this year, all just as intricate as the pirate ship. Let's see there was the ship, a pirate skull, a cat on the moon, a witch and the grim reaper. It was a slow day this year. And I was really, really bored.:D

The first "affordable" (if you call $10,000 affordable, anyway) computer to sport a graphical user interface, released a year before the Mac. Not terribly many were made, and a fair amount of them ended up being buried in a landfill in the late '80s, so I suppose that makes them a fair bit rarer. Found it in the parking lot of a local computer surplus store, where it'd been dropped off (along with a bunch of other vintage computer stuff) by a couple of guys who just wanted to get rid of it, even though it's worth a fair amount on eBay. Definitely one of my best finds ever. :D See the website below for more evidence of my madness... ;)

As to why - I used to play a lot of basketball when going to UofM - Flint. I just liked to play, I didn't know about pro ball at that time. I was on my second season of intramurals, when Nov 4, 1989, I was involved in a bad car accident. Stopped at a red light, my car was hit from behind by a alleged drunk/drugged driver going an estimated 60 to 70 MPH.

10 days in the hospital recovering from a subdural hematoma, a gash on my head, and various bruises. Then on the ride home, my back started acting up, which is the pain I live with every day.

Laying on the couch, bored, I see a game on the TV - the first rematch of the Pistons vs. Lakers since they won the NBA Championship the last season. It was one of the best games I'd seen - went to overtime, where the Pistons won it. I watched/listened to every game since. It helped me with my rehab - I rode a stationary bike during games, and got well enough to be able to ride through a half of a game. It helped me with the back pain too, that for 2+hours, I got concentrated on the game and not on my back.

Of course, that was the 89-90 season, I saw the 25-1 streak, the terrific 7-game series vs. the Bulls, and saw them win the championship again against Portland, on the .007 shot by Vinnie Johnson in the 5th game. I've been a fan ever since.

Well, for the longest time (see "haven't been here in ages") I had a dancing Shin Chan gif, but that's getting a little old. Some of you MAY know what my avvie currently represents, but just in case you don't, here's a little summation.

In Megaman Legends, you are introduced to Tron Bonne, Tiesel, and a number of their pirate...helpers. They kinda look like little legomen. Anyway, flash forward to 2006. Dead Rising features Frank West, photojournalist, in the middle of a mall absolutely infested with your favorite chainsaw fodder and mine: zombies.

What's the point? Well, one of the fun features of the game allows you to play dress up (sometimes literally (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HyvFLoUbQI)). Since all games mentioned are Capcom, you guessed it...you can get a legoman helper mask. And yes, it's covered in zombie blood which, to me, truly represents what Dead Rising is really all about: a tongue-in-cheek action/adventure involving you, zombies, and oh so much more. :D

Mine's a shot of my cat Casey. One of the first nose-print free shots I got of him after I got a digital camera for my birthday a few years ago. He was laying on top of my speaker, where he knows he's not supposed to be, just trying to look innocent.

Mine is a drawing one of my customers did for me. The Library where he worked had a Library Cat, and he used to do all kinds of Library Cat drawings for various posters and things. I think it's really supposed to be Andy, the Library Cat, not me, but I'm a cat person and it's behind a PC, so it's me to me.

How about a nice, holiday themed avatar? I tried getting my 7 month old colt, Sawyer, into the Christmas spirit today. Not sure he really liked it :lol:

I had a nice holiday themed avatar - Pablo with a red bow around his neck (that one was from Christmas a few years ago). Then on New Year's Day I changed it to Pablo laying on his side in bed, under the covers with his hed on the pillow (he posed himself that way, too). I think he looks like he's sick in bed and it was National Hangover Day, so it was appropriate.

Yesterday I changed it again. I took the current picture on my cell phone. He was laying in my lap and I just sort of reached around with the phone to see if I could get a decent pic. I got a few that didn't come out half bad, especially cousidering I couldn't really see the screen to know if I even had him in the frame. :D

Mine is my kitten Tessa "helping" me decorate my tree. I figured I couldn't keep her off/out of it so I might as well get a photo of it - this was the only one where I was fast enough!

It's fitting because she's always on me while I'm on my laptop. Right now she's trying to make herself comfortable, grab my fingers on the keyboard, see what is changing the screens, and lick my face. Taz has nothing on her!:lol:
