let's see if I can make this quick . . . The son of my dog and the littermate/ brother of the dog in my icon belongs to my parents.
The breed is Chinese Crested and he is a Hairless.

A while back we noticed this area on his skin that just didn't look right. (no fur/ hair makes it very obvious)
So into the vet he goes and they took a scape . . .no idea what it is.

He now has 4 spots that are raised and inflamed so we took him to a doggy dermatoligist. She took him to the back to let the other two in office vets take a look. (without asking first) They took samples of two of the areas which lead to stitches being necessary. Dad told them he is a dog that likes to lick, they told him not to worry.

Yup an hour later the stitches had been removed by Artie . . .luckily the regular vet is @ 2 min drive up the street. So we rushed him in. They are going to put in new stitches and keep him for a bit of observation. Most likely he will have to wear a cone when we get him back.

So please healing thoughts and behind the ear scratches to Artie.

(and yes, I am royally ticked that a sample was taken without asking . . .cause you know I love it when the dog is brought back in the room with puckered skin, black thread, and bruises already appearing . . . and it doesn't appear like he was put under in anyway shape or form . . . but that would be a conversation for another site . . .so I am not going to go there on here)

Poor guy. I hope everything turns out OK.

Where are the stitches exactly? When my dog had to have a growth cut off of his side he had stitches and we kept him away from them by putting him in a baby onesie. He is only 15 pounds so it was easy to find one to fit him, and we cut a hole for his tail. It was so cute, much easier for him than a cone and kept him from bothering the stitched area. :)

Well on Tues Artie came back home with a flexable cone . . . Weds morning he had pulled out two of three stitches on one of the two spots.
So we went back to the vet with him. They have gone to a metal staple and a rigid cone.
Poor little thing just looks miserable. My parents are now having to think if they really want to ever have him fixed if they will have to go through this again.

Thank you for your support.
