So...

This weekend it will be February. I'm already making plans with my husband for Valentines Day. 12 of you have contacted me with your reasons for not sending them out on time, but since then I believe only one of you actually sent their cards out as promised.

:pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed:

For those of you who still have not sent them out, I hope you're reading this. You have one week to get them out. After next Wednesday, don't bother because you won't be allowed to join up next time either way.

This is supposed to be a fun project for the holidays. I know that many of you enjoy it, and that's pretty much why I offered to keep it going when the girl whose idea it was in the first place stopped doing it. It's stupid shit like this that really takes the fun out of it for me. I do NOT enjoy being a Christmas Nazi, in case you were wondering. Maybe I'm a bitch for thinking it would be nice if I could pack my Christmas cards away seeing as I'm getting ready to get my Valentines together.

Getting and sending cards to CS members from all over the globe is fun but costly. I start taking sign ups in AUGUST, so you all should have plenty of time to work out your budgets and figure out whether or not this is something you'll be able to do.

On behalf of those who went to a lot of effort and expense to get their cards out in a reasonable amount of time, I am frankly PISSED at those of you couldn't be bothered. What a rude and sucky thing to do. We bitch about sucky customers who don't read signs, but you ignored plenty of messages from me and a few of our participating moderators. Some of you had the bloody nerve to flake on me after I gave you a break last year. (No good deed goes unpunished, I suppose.)

To those of you who participated: Thank you. I appreciate your cards and your friendship. I look forward to doing this with you again for as many years as I'm at CS. Thanks for always coming through for me.

Your frustration is obvious.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say your hard work was truly appreciated.
You have done a remarkable job stepping in and compiling the list on your own time, so those who choose to participate can add a little bit of fun to our Christmas.

I am not mad at those from whom I received no cards. I am just very disappointed.

I always look forward to getting these cards from all over.

I can completely understand that crap happens, and stuff crops up that we hadn't counted on.

If anyone ran into unexpected personal or financial problems, all they had to do was contact JAM or one of the mods and explain the situation, and we all would have understood.
We would have very discreetly let those on the list know not to expect a card, and I know not one person would have been upset. In fact, the person would probably have received a small note from the others commiserating with their problems.

I'm sorry things were a little disappointing this year, and I really hope all the frustrations that you have handled since day one won't discourage you from doing this again next year.

Yeah. I haven't done it the last two times because I still feel unbelivbely shitty and lowlife like after not doing it the first year, even though I got dozens of cards. That's why I didn't sign up.

But, I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it this year. I feel I can do it right for once.

Hey everyone! Long time no CS.....

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the Christmas cards! I hung all of them up and they made the parlour look fab!

I also wanted to say sorry that I did not get a chance to send out my Christmas Cards. I had a medical emergency that made me have no money and so I couldn't afford it this time.

I am OK now and back to my old bitter self. I am at a new WHS (in Barnet) and it is still shit. All I do is work. I am a supervisor now and so I am salaried which means long ass hours. That is why I am never, ever on here anymore. I shall try to come on more often because I have a few stories a day at this place. Especially because I have 2 shops to run...one stationery and one books. The confusion that causes with customers is unreal!

Anyway, bye bye for now!

Quoted for emphasis.

Also, if you did had a legitimate reason for not fulfilling your commitment, it takes about 15 seconds to send me a PM, which I'm guessing is less time than it took you to post your original thread.

Dear JM

Thanks for organising the Christmas Card List. It was awesome getting cards from all over the world, and sending cards all over the world.
I hope most, if not all, of mine went through.

Love
