This past Friday my temp job at the base ended so on Monday I applied for unemployment to cover my butt in case I don't find a job right away. The funding for my job dried up so I couldn't work there anymore. It was one of those juicy jobs- I was making over $17.00 an hour! Be hard pressed to find another one just like it.
So this week I've been taking a "mini vacation". I figure I can start job hunting on Monday. I already have 3 applications that I'm waiting results for. I applied for a position with the state & that's one I really want. Had to send a package with an application & a resume.
So in the meantime I'm catching up Dr. Phil & the Mike & Juliet Show...lol.

Good Luck - I was downsized from my job of 16 years at the end of December. Between receiving a large "separation bonus" and unemployment, I have been tanking it kind of easy. Fortunately, the bonus has kept me OK financially and I have been enjoying the break. I do have to submit applications for new jobs to receive my unemployment, and so far I have not had responses to any I have submitted. I guess in the next couple of weeks, I will have to begin seriously looking. Believe it or not, I have not had alot of free time for keeping an eye on the job boards for available jobs. My mom is undergoing cancer treatment, so that has kept me really hopping. Ideally, I wish I could wait until she is through treatment before really looking. Again, Good Luck in your job search:)

I am now looking for another job. I just recently quit selling Kirbys. I was told that we were not to do any Door to door. What have we been doing, D-D. I have an interview later today at 5:30pm. $14 an hr, if I get it.
