Who else here CANNOT wait for the dreaded snow to melt away?
Who else here can't wait for the dandelions to come back? Who else here can't wait for animals to start having babies (I mean the ones who usually have babies in the spring?)
Summer is my favorite season, but something about spring ALWAYS brings my mood back up. I don't suffer seasonal depression, but winter does give me the blues. I spend most of winter very angry and sad, either because of Holiday Hoo Ha or just because this winter has been so snowy that it can't seem to go 3 days without snowing.
I love it when temps start rising again. I LOVE April because of tornado awareness month. I LOVE it when it starts raining again instead of snowing. I absolutely LOVE the first few thunderstorms of the season. They only get better after that!
I love how the grass turns green again. Leaves come back. Trees are no longer naked. It's no longer a suicide mission to go to work or to run your daily errands. The roads are FINALLY drivable again!
Not to mention my favorite holiday of all....EASTER!!!
Who else is desperately anticipating and (not) patiently awaiting spring?!

I live in Vancouver. Spring started in January and being in Vancouver I anticipate it like one anticipates the northern migration of Africanized killer bees. -.-

Spring is definitely my favorite season of the year. I can't wait to see all that blasted snow melt away.

Oh I canNOT wait for Spring. I like Summer, love Spring and Fall, but hate loathe and despise the hell out of Winter. I get very seasonally depressed and extra sleepy. January and February are usually spent hibernating on my couch, being miserable.
Also, thunderstorms are the best - especially when watching or reading a good ghost story. :p

I like early spring. I like it just as the snow's melting and you don't need the stupidly heavy coat anymore. But that's about it. I start feeling like dying pretty quickly as the temperature rises.

Only thing I don't like about spring is the allergies. My favorite season is fall, though.
I will now recite my mother's favorite springtime poem:
Spring has sprung,
The grass is riz,
I wonder where
The birdies iz.

I can hardly wait for spring myself . . . I like the warmer temperatures, which means I can spend more time on the porch.
I also like to get out of the house more, which I'm more inclined to do when it's warmer rather than cold outside which means I'm having to bundle up. Ugh.
Besides, everything is prettier in spring . . . the trees start budding out, I can raise the windows in the house to let fresh air in, the plants can start going outside to stay and everything feels like it's a new start.
This year should be even busier for us as far as projects go. Not only are my bedroom and office going to be repainted, we've got the front porch floor and railings to be repainted, a couple of screens that need to be redone for the windows (the kitties have ravaged a couple of screens on the back side of the house) and now we've discovered this week that our building needs a new roof, as the shingles are practically disintegrating (but then what can you expect from a 15 year old roof?)
And Mom will be outside working in her flower beds . . . which is why she's been doing spring cleaning already inside (as her energy allows her.) So far, the living room and dining room are in good shape now and the kitchen will soon be done (taking stuff down off walls that hasn't been moved in 6 or 7 years is quite a feat.)
So yep, I'm ready for spring . . .

I'm eagerly awaiting spring as well, but with the way we're getting snow, it won't completely melt until June.

Why Blas, are you ganking my titles? ;)
I LOVE dandelions. Nothing gladdens my demented little heart like the sight of a thousand dots of yellow marring the pristine chemically-saturated yards of the grass freaks.
Allergies and tornado season suck ass though. You can keep those. :p

De bird is on de wing,
But that is truly absurd,
For I have always heard,
De wing is on de bird.

I sure am. Well, for the most part. Spring means Spring Break, which means a week where lesson plans and students are replaced with relaxing and playtime - hopefully outdoors. But Spring Break means being recruited to help clean the koi pond in the backyard.
But I'm with ya, blas - I love Easter too. :)

I've been buying them since last December, when they started coming in and we had to put them in a speed table right away.
