The training they have for us on this project is great, they've obviously taken time to design a program that's effective and not mind numbing.

Some parts are a fine pace (I'm working CS for one of the big three car makers), like when they're teaching us about cars and such.

However I'm a fast reader, fast typer, and my skills at searching are amazing. Therefore I'm quick at getting a lot of the computer side stuff done. While this will be great when I'm on the floor, right now I'm expected to sit quietly while everyone else finishes.

I've already gotten a chiding from my TL about surfing unapproved websites (I was on a university site at that point! Not something bad >_>. Yea, I know the point of the rule and avoid anything with forums or other data submission, and games. But normally I read news and stuff, not anymore tho)

Lately I've taken to drawing in ms paint so that my brain doesn't explode. I'm ADD, and find it impossible to just sit and stare at the wall.

Any tips for what I can do during training?

Take a book. Something related to the job might be good. when I was training in a real estate office I read and typed at something like three times the rate of my "trainer", and they left the room after giving me anything. After getting shrieked at after i finished something and went looking for them for something else I stated taking books on the local area (history and some textbooks for folks trying to get a real estate license like a Realtor has) the manager "caught" me one day and made sure I had a pile of similar things "to be sure I understood" and that if I finished I was allowed to go looking for something to do.
