Okay, so we've done hair, we've done skin, and we've done makeup.

How about shoes, Ladies? (and men, if you are into shoes. A few men are.)

Do you harbor a shoe fetish? What are your favorite pairs?

My three favorites are (in no particular order):

Black, pointy toed pumps covered with stripes of retina-searing bands of ribbons and gold brocade trim. Three inch stilletto heels. Can't remember the brand.

Doc Marten 8 eye boots, completely flat sole, bright tuquoise reptile print. I don't leave the house in these without someone commenting on them. They are a conversation starter.

Brown wedge boots, with Victorian buttons and a ultra modern rubber wedge heel. Very steampunk. Weird Asian print in translucent gold on part of the shaft. By Jump.

Three favorite pairs? Geese. I only have two pairs that I'll actually casually wear. A blue pair of New Balance and a black pair of Vans. I also have a black pair and a brown pair of dress shoes.

Well, I thought I had a real shoe problem because the floor of my closet is covered with shoes. I think last time I counted I had like 20-25 pairs. And then I discovered at least two of the women I work with have 75+.

I don't know about you, but I don't want to have to store that many pairs of shoes.

All of my favorite boots involve being between calf and knee length, lace up, and 2+ inch heels.

Too bad I have nowhere to wear them to.

I think I have quite a few shoes for a guy.

Let's see...I have a pair of cheap Nikes I wear for work and lounging around, two pairs of Doc Martens, three pairs of Birkenstocks, two pairs of Pumas, a pair of Chuck Taylors, a couple pairs of Adidas shell toes, and a pair of adidas sandals.

Yeah, that is a lot. I can't really explain how it got started.

You've hit upon another thing I enjoy: shoes.:D

For work, I've just bought a couple of pairs. Between the two, I prefer my black leather tassle loafers w/the half inch stacked heel. They're comfy and my feet look so cute in these.

If I'm going casual, it's my standby dark tan kiltie loafers or my Nike Air shoes.

If I'm going to be dressed to the nines . . . I prefer my black fabric pumps w/the squared toes and 2 1/2 inch broad stacked heels.

I also have black velvet pumps for very special occasions . . . just haven't had an occasion special enough for those just yet.;)

As far as brands go, for everyday I like the Thom McAn shoes (KMart carries them now since their stores went under several years ago.) Cobbie Cuddlers are also pretty good, but I can't find those now (didn't see any last couple of times I've been to KMart.)

Nike Air is another favorite brand. Not only do they fit my feet well, but with some brands of shoes I've noticed my right foot won't sit quite right in the shoe. It's as if the arch in the shoe is just a tad too far back to align with my foot. I don't notice this problem if I'm wearing Nikes, so that's what I stick with.:)
