For those of you who have played Super Smash Bros. Melee, do y'all remember playing the Event Matches, that if you failed them, the announcer would loudly proclaim:

"Failure"

Whenever I read some of the stories here, I can hear that in the back of my head describing the SCs. It always cracks me up.

Someday I wish I could get that recorded and just play it at people.

You brought back memories of me being a failure at the game. For the record, my first time playing it was at a contest at my last retail store which was an anime shop.

Someday I wish I could get that recorded and just play it at people

I now wish I could do the same, that would be awesome

Other sounds I'd love to have on a soundboard for work:

1) The "Alert" noise from Metal Gear Solid. You know, the ! noise. So that I may play it whenever a caller stats the fantastifucking obvious or is freaking out about something ridiculously minor.

2) The Jeopardy theme.

3) The "Wrong" noise from the Price is Right.

4) Various "OBJECTION!"s from Phoenix Wright.

5) The sad song of a very small violin.

If I worked at an actual retail store I'd have them all loaded on a keyboard and I would remain absolutely deadpan as I reached over and pressed the corresponding key in response to a customer.

This seems fun. Here's a couple of ideas based on what's already been said...

1. In the Scarface game, each time you "die," it says in nice, big, bold, white letters: "YOU WERE ****ED" and has sort of a depressing riff or whatever from a guitar. Yeah...I kinda feel that way when I get cold transferred to. :(

2. Final Fantasy Fanfare. Yeah, you can probably use your imagination on this one. :p

3. Benny Hill Theme. Again, you can probably use your imagination, but personally I think I'm hearing this one anytime I have a bumbling tech, user that just kinda goes off on their own then wonders why their computer isn't working, and the following situation...

Me: "Now, I want you to locate the power cord on the back of your phone modem."
SC: "Got it!"
Me: "Now, don't pull it. What I-"
SC: *Dead line*

Edit: One more I just thought of...The Godfather theme. Why? You have no idea how often tier 1/customer service calls me up saying "Hey Sage! Hey, I was wondering if you could do me a favor..."

Me: *Mouth fulla somethin* "You want I should do you a favor. I will grant you this. This one thing." :p

the scene in 5th element where the chinese food vendor opens the letter telling bruce willis he's fired; "You are fah-yerd!" just the way he says it all happy and optomistic, I'd play that over the phone every time a rep called me with an outlandish request or a customer upset about the wait time on services that they shouldn't have approved.

the super mario brothers' death music for when I'm slapped with nasty projects that noone else can do because "I know I can depend on you"

the super mario brothers' game over music for when the situation deteriorates

the zelda "get item" soundbyte for when the impossible s achieved, thus justifying the boss' giving me the project in the first place

the mega man 3 "boss death" soundbyte for when I log out of the phone for the day

When the customer says something that's completely BS and you're getting ready to call them on it..."You Got Another Thing Comin" from Judas Priest.

When the customer starts whining, regardless of the reason..."No More Tears" from Ozzy.

Oooh...I got some!!!

Everytime an SC throws a hissy fit and they don't get their way play the Nelson Muntz laugh (HA ha!) from The Simpsons

If an SC wants to haggle or be a cheap bastard play The Boondocks from the episode A Huey Freeman Christmas (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9N8zvcRO40)(the scene where Riley screams and (writes in his letter) to Santa Claus "You Gon PAY what you OWE!"). OR play this Adam Sandler quote from Happy Gilmore "The price is WRONG,bitch!!"

Gotta love that!!! :highfive:

Play this for the SC's that come in MINUTES before closing time and take their sweet ass time. Eric Cartman's quote from South Park "Screw you guys, I'm going home!"

I thought of another. When customers call in DEMANDING I turn their service back on, despite the fact that they've gotten multiple spam complaints and we've explained what to do to remedy this, thus they've gotten mandatory disablement...

"YOU WILL RESPECT MAH AUTHORI-TAH!!" - Cartman

One more I can think of...

"Rave On" - Killer 7 Soundtrack.

Yeah, it could be used for a variety of things (you already know how I mean if you've played the game). I personally think it works well as a "Holy crap, I'm done with work for the day!" track. :D
