So, here's a recent bit from my RL.

My hubby's ex-wife and 2 sons live in a different state than we do. Ex- wife contacted hubby and asked him (which would mean us) to take in their oldest son, age 17/18.

After all the times in the past we offered and she said no... one may wonder- why now?

Because he's on the run from the police!

Hubby told her no he was not going to transport a wanted criminal across state lines and hide him from the police- even if that criminal is his own son. He did the crime- he can do the time.

I completely agree with my hubby. My oldest boy knows perfectly well that if he's ever dumb enough to commit a crime I won't save him either.

The ex-wife's response is that it's just too bad their boy doesn't have a father who actually loves him! Because if my hubby really LOVED his son he'd smuggle him across state lines and hide him!

:pissed:

What a bitch! (sorry- it just makes me really angry!)

Why don't you tell her to bring the kid down and let the local police pick them up at your house. The ex and the boy. Dumbass nutcase.

Well, I guess we can easily see WHY her son is a wanted felon.:(

Crossing state lines would turn it into a federal case. Insterstate flight to avoid prosecution. Not good, not good at all.
As tough as it is, your husband did the right thing. Best wishes to you both.
