Ok guys, another thread where I rant about plows.

Yesterday, we got a fair amount of snow, nowhere near what southern Wi got, but a fair amount. As you can imagine, right now it's above freezing and the snow is melting more and more as the hours go by....I'm sure it will be gone by the end of the day or tomorrow.

Guess who just showed up to plow all the melting snow? Guess what sound I'm hearing right now? BARE PAVEMENT BEING SCRAPED!

I know, I know. I'm starting to wonder the real reason we're running low on winter cleaning resources around here.

Edit: Guess who just pounded on my door and yelled at me to move my car so he could plow? It's that 130 year old bastard again. Yeah, by the time he's done plowing, there won't be any snow LEFT on the ground.

Get fricken serious here. There's no reason to plow this snow...it's MELTING.....there isn't enough to plow!

We haven't got that problem, what we have are potholes. I am honestly wondering what the f**k the maintenance staff is doing all day, because there are (and have been) some large ones out there for over a month. I am seriously considering taping a sign to the office door saying:

PLEASE
PATCH the
POTHOLES!!!!

They had the plows going here for our 4 inches of snow. It's been warm enough lately that on all the roads the stuff melts off pretty much on its own. However, they still run the plows and pour salt all over the place. I'm annoyed greatly by all this...

Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

All I got here were flurries that hardly stuck to the ground. Not even an inch and it's all melted away already.

i hate all you....i live in SE WI. we got about a foot....i was very upset. i got stuck twice yesterday, and once this morning.

i was sent home an hour early yesterday, and the snow drifts were up to my knees in some spots. when i got to my car, my hair was sooo wet, because the snow was a very wet snow, and it looked like i just got out of the shower.

i lucked out, because three people were shoveling out of a car, and one of the guys offered to shovel mine out, and then pushed my car over some snow for me.

then, i went to my moms to pick up my son, and i got stuck pulling into a parking spot. another guy came out, and got my car in a spot. it was VERY crooked but who cares.....nobody parked near me.

which was a good thing, cause this morning i was stuck again, and had to do some smart moves to get out.

it was so bad last night, that i stayed at my moms house instead of driving 30 minutes home.

Snow? What's that?

I spent yesterday lounging by the pool with good friends (in a swimsuit, mind you...not jeans and a sweatshirt or anything), and have quite the sunburn to show for it.

Ah yes....Florida in March :)

We only got a couple of inches....sure the stuff on the ground got re-loaded, but the roads are dry, once again.

What a waste of resources, if you ask me. If it's going to be above freezing and the snow is melting on its own...why do that? Besides, it takes that asshole upwards of 2-3 hours to plow the whole lot.......sometimes he's plowing nothing at all. Idiot.

Probably gets paid by the hour. The longer he takes, the more he gets paid.

Makes sense to me.

The sound of bare pavement being scraped sets my teeth on edge. I can't stand the sound!

We haven't had much snow lately, which is a good thing.
