Betta fish question

I noticed he developed Fin rot overnight on Sunday. I got some fungicide right away and started treating it. It does not look as if it has progressed anymore, but there is still some black on his fins.
How long will it take for that to fall off and his fin to start regrowing? If anyone knows, please let me know.
I am also changing his water every other day.
I cleaned his tank and everything in Boiling water (no soap :) ). Is there anything else I need to do?

Nope, you did just fine.

Give the tail a few weeks and it should start to grow back.:)
