I'm in a beginner band, playing flute. Luckily, nothing happened during the actual concert. We got loud applause and a standing ovation, which I thought was overkill for such great works like Frere Jacques and Sweetly Sings the Donkey.
Before the concert, my sister in law went to Tim Hortons and brought us back bagels- one with butter for my mom and one with cream cheese for me. She came back too late and wasn't able to give them to us before we went on, but afterwards she gave them both to my mom. Right after we finished performing we went to sit with my dad, my brother, and my mom's friend. My dad and brother decided to leave and I decided to go with them. My mom wanted to stay.
I got all my stuff together, and then realized that I forgot to get my bagel from mom. I wasn't sure if I should just walk in there, but my dad told me it would be all right if I was quiet since the band on stage wasn't playing yet. So I went in, crossed the auditorium, climbed about the six steps to where my mom was already holding out the (wrapped) bagel, knowing what I'd come for. I took it, walked down the steps, stumbled on the last one (damn fancy band shoes) and landed on my hands and knees on the floor, putting my thumb right through the hole in the bagel. I wasn't hurt, but it was pretty humiliating. I got up and just walked out (a nice lady did ask if I was okay) and went into the hall. There was a woman standing at the open door who I shall call the Shusher.

Me: I put my thumb right through the bagel.
Shusher: SHHH!
Dad: Are you okay?
Shusher: SHHH!
Me: Yeah, I'm fine, but that was embarrassing.
Shusher: SHHHHHHHH!

I'm not sure if this woman qualified as being sucky or not. We were just talking in regular voices, and we were in the hall. I wouldn't think our voices would carry into the theater, much less to the point that we were disrupting the performance. Anyway, if that woman was listening to the next band (which had started to play by that point), why didn't she just go in? The auditorium was half empty.
To just make the day perfect, my mom gave me the wrong bagel. I wasn't going back in there, so we just stopped off at Tim Hortons on the way home and got another one. Yummy. :)
