I just wanted to let you all know what's been going on in my life so far.

I've had to take over management of the computer part of the store I work at - my boss, after 13 years, decided he needed to get out and is now working for a food delivery service company.

It's been a learning experience for me - pricing, ordering restock, etc. Still, the store is up for sale, so I've been looking for a new job. In fact, I had an interview by a ISP/computer repair store that I think went well. They're supposed to call back Monday if I have the job.

I hope I get it, because the main reason I'm writing this is that my wife and I found that we are expecting our fourth child this coming April. It's unexpected (and had to be pretty determined to happen, as many preventions we took :) ), but I'm looking forward to it. I hope it's happy, healthy, and maybe a boy this time (we have 3 girls) .

Hopefully, if all goes well, I'll get this job, be able to get a new vehicle (my van is nearing the 200,000 mile mark and it's going to cost a bit to repair), and be ready for next year.

First, I'm sorry I haven't updated this in quite awhile, but you'll see why.

Second, thank you Sphinx for the kind words.

Unfortunately, It's been bad news. I haven't recieved a callback from the job interview. I gave them a call on Tuesday to see, and the office manager said that she'd e-mail him for a response. So far, nothing, so I'm going to assume that I didn't get it. I hope that the disagreements he had with my boss wasn't a deciding factor.

And, I'm getting laid off at the end of next week. My boss gave his 2-week notice last week to the food delivery service he was working for, and is coming back to give the buisness another go-round. Unfortunately, he's had to start cutting costs, and I was probably one of the biggest costs to the shop.

I don't have any bad feelings about it, I understand why he had to do it, just it's a pretty bad time to do it is all...

Anyway, I'm going on a mad posting spree on all the job sites, I have a job fair next week to go to, and I have to get unemployment situated.

Thanks to everyone that's read this so far. I thought I'd just add to this instead of beginning a new topic.

My last day of work was Friday. No luck on the job searches as of yet, but I'm not concerned about that at the moment.

I was working Tuesday. My then-pregnant wife went out to lunch with her pastor and a few friends for a birthday celebration. Around 2 pm, one of my wife's friends came in and asked if I could leave, as my wife was spotting...

To make a long story short, the doctor thinks that my wife may have miscarried. :( Won't know for sure until her ultrasound tomorrow.

Anyone have a reset button for this year?
