Amazing sportsmanship and character. Maybe there's hope for us yet.

This has renewed my faith in humanity. As someone said in the article, it's not about winning or losing. It's about sportsmanship. I salute all who were in involved.

Yes, there is ... which is why we don't get some of the rest of the country.

 The people up here are very laid back. I love this area.
And a big :salute: to the Central Washington University players who helped her out. That is true good sportsmanship. :yourock:

I heard this over the radio yesterday.
It was the most uncomfortable thing, driving with one hand, blowing my nose and trying to see all at the same time.
I couldn't have been more proud of living in Washington than I was at that moment.

It was in my email newsletters this morning.
I like this guy's (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/columns/story?columnist=hays_graham&id=3372631) article on it the best.
The most interesting thing about it is that nobody on the field that day actually knew the rules for that situation (there's a sidebar on the article I linked with that info). Holtman was the most knowledgeable, and the fastest thinker at the scene and she came up with a brilliant and elegant solution to the problem at hand.
