Another game! Why not, we need fun!
Post 3 things that are tur about you and one that is a lie (in any order). People try to guess which one is the lie. The one who guesses correctly will be able to post the next set.
Do not post the next set until it is confirmed that you are correct! Also, don't guess all 4. :)
I'll start:
1) I once drove over 1,200 miles (each way) over 3 days to pick up a puppy.
2) I have driven the entire length of US route 95 (from Miami, Florida to Houlton, Maine).
3) I have been on both ends of US Route 1 (Key West, Florida and Fort Kent, Maine)
4) I once drive 3 1/2 hours, each way, just for a lobster dinner.

#4 has to be a lie
Because you already told me once about #1, and if you did #2 or #3, why wouldn't you have done the other?

To be different, I'll say #1 is a lie.

Correct!
As for #3, I've never been to Fort Kent, Maine (been pretty close, but not all the way).

Woo, I win!
*does a jig*
My three truths and a lie:
1. I learned to program in Basic during Kindergarten.
2. I have over 20 pets.
3. I was first runner-up in a national math competition and won a $1,000 savings bond.
4. I have appeared in a movie.

You're a sharp one!
Yes, #3 is a lie. But it's a SNEAKY lie. I was SECOND runner-up. First runner-up got a $5,000 savings bond, and the winner got a $10,000 one.

Heh, I picked that one because it was the most detailed. Seemed like a clue. LOL
Okay. My three truths and a lie.
1. I have dyed my hair every color of the rainbow.
2. I am utterly terrified of worms.
3. My least favorite color is yellow.
4. I tell people I am 19 even though I'm 26, and have never been disbelieved.

Correct-o, heh. I've dyed my hair blonde, red, white, blue, and green. My dream hair would be bright red with pink and blue stripes, but for now, I have to look professional. Ugh.
I will KILL someone if they come near me with a worm, yellow disgusts me for the most part, and most people who hear me say that I'm 19 think I'm even younger than that. So, whoo!

*ahem*
1) I have never dyed my hair blonde
2) I recently stopped biting my nails
3) I have an identical twin for a mother
4) My boyfriend is exactly 1' 2" taller than me

OK,
1) Out of the 5 companies that I've worked "long term" (over 1 year) for, 3 no longer exist.
2) I was once fired by my mom.
3) I've been laid off twice.
4) While on a call interviewing for a promotion, the interviewer seriously threatened to fire me just before offering me the promotion.

Woohoo, lucky number three comes through :)
1. I have had a gun pulled on me while going door-to-door.
2. As a child, I taught my pet cockatiel to talk, but his favorite words were nonsense from science fiction books I read to him, like "Blort!"
3. I've never lived more than 15 miles from the exact spot where I was born.
4. I have coffee with my Congressman regularly.

If you work in vetinary work, the first three are certainly possible. So I'll guess #4.
You are correct on almost all counts.
1) I did a temperament test for a potential for malinois rescue. It tried to bite me out of aggression (I can tell different emotions). The shelter had to put the dog down.
2) We had a dog who had serious epelipsey. She battled it for many years and we had her put to sleep because even with strong phenobarbotol she was havin seizures. She was close to going into a grand mal seizure when he had per put down. We held her as she was given the injection.
3) My wife was a vet tech and had to euthanize many old, sick, and injured dogs.
4) Is the lie.
So, it's not as bad as it seems. :)

Let's see here.
1.) I never watch broadcast television.
2.) I have been unemployed more over the past 8 years than employed.
3.) I am currently not subscribed to any MMOs.
4.) I have scars on my shoulder from my cat.
Saydrah

1. While I'm strictly a metalhead these days, when I was a kid, I liked the Beatles.
2. I was not born in this country.
3. I speak fluent spanish, which I use often with my wife when we're having a conversation we don't want people overhearing.

4) I read on average 103 books a month.

OK, two wrong guesses, so I might as well reveal the answer.
1. Everyone here knows I'm a metalhead. But when I was little, I used to listen to a lot of my dad's records. I liked the Beatles the best, so much that I started buying their records (remember those?) on my own. But sometime around the early 80s, I started getting into more current music. What I really liked was the heavier stuff, although I didn't get into the really heavy stuff until I went off to college.
2. My dad got drafted into the army around the time of the Vietnam War, but for some reason they sent him somewhere in Germany. My mom went with him, and I ended up being born over there, on a military base, I believe.
3. While I took four years of Spanish in high school, and got A's and B's, I never became fluent. I can understand single words or short sentences, but anything beyond that all seems to run together. My wife, on the other hand, was born in Puerto Rico, and is fluent in Spanish, since it's her native language. If I knew enough to have an understand a conversation, we probably would use it to prevent people from listening in. ;)
4. My dad was having a party at his house one weekend my brother and I were visiting. He didn't mind me having a little bit of beer now and then, but one of his guests thought it would be funny to get me drunk. At that age, it didn't take much, believe me. When my dad found out, he didn't get angry at all. He just seemed disappointed. Looking back now, he was probably also worried about my mom finding out.

Yay! I don't play guitar either. Okay.

I can indeed carry a tune, hell in Concert Choir I carried a part (only male in a 13 member choir. We performed SAB arrangements and I had to be heard over 12 women and have my part right)
And for a Queen of Evil how can I not give a second guess? ^_^
Evil Queen
05-24-2008, 03:17 AM
You're too charming to have never been on a date. :)
And you like Anime (from what I could gather) so I'm assuming #1 is correct...
So I vote that number 4 is wrong then.
InverseHellion
05-24-2008, 04:00 AM
Awww so sweet and yet still false. My first year of college I ended up getting really depressed living on my own for the first time ever and I found my apartment was too much space since I didn't know anybody or have an active social life. So I went Japanese style, got a futon, ran my laptop off the power outlet in there stored my clothes on a shelf and lived in the closet. The rest of the apartment was immaculate!
Evil Queen
05-24-2008, 07:11 PM

So that leaves option Numéro deux. You've never been on a date? Why not??
InverseHellion
05-24-2008, 08:15 PM
2) I have never gone on a date.
You seem to be misremembering EvilQueen, #2 asserts that I've never been on a date, not that I have been on a date. And it is true. As to why not, sure I'm witty and charming with women, unfortunately I date men and I'm much more awkward when it comes to wooing my fellow gentlemen then I am at flattering lovely ladies like yourself. I blame a complete lack of role models in the realm of seducing men. ;)
