which im sure most people aren't...but my problem this year, is alternate parking. i have no idea how many cities and towns use this, but for those of you who have no idea what it is, its where between date a and date b, you have to switch sides you are parked on every night. confusing? ok....heres my street. one side, has the houses on it, the other side has a park on it. lets say tuesday night, everybody has to park on the side of the street with the park on it, so on wednesday, everybody has to park on the side with the houses.

its not too big a deal if you hae a driveway. which we do not. it migh also help if our nieghbor either used her driveway, or allowed us to her driveway. it also might be easier if the guy who lives three doors down didn't buy cars to fix, and sell, and while fixing them, they leave them in the street, taking up spaces(and this is legal. we've talked to the cops about it). it might also help if we didnt have FIVE cars in one house to park.

i am not looking forward to this season. we are usually able to park two people in front of the house....but one of the peole who livewith us, likes to park right in the middle, making it to where only THEY can park in front of the house. all im saying, is that i am NOT going to be happy if i have to come home in janurary and have to walk all the way down the block to get home because these two didn't want to move the car up for us. im already nervous about slippig this year cause im pregnant and not due until feb. so if i have to walk from down the road cause of those two, and i slip and fall, i will be a VERY unhappy pregnant woman.

sigh that kind of stupidity sounds like baltimores parking law where after 48 hours if your car hasnt been moved at all, according to anyone who wants to call it in, its ticketed and towed

Oh, yeah. I'd forgotten that Winter is coming for most of you folks.
Autumn is a nice season though... I almost miss it sometimes.

Winters in Michigan suck big time. It can get so cold at times I wonder if I'm in Siberia. Working outside is a pain too, by the time I'd be back inside it would hurt to move my hands. The snow is beautiful though and autumnn is always kickass.

I'm quite tired of the heat. Bring on the winter!

But keep the snowbirds away!

I love the fall season! And Wisconsin winters don't really bother me too much. I like the snow and especially like sitting on the couch in the early AM hours, with the x-mas tree lit, and watching the snowfall outside the window. sigh.......

But first, I'll take the changing colors of the leaves! :D

Snow . . I want snow . .
It never snows here anymore. I remember when I was a kid and it did, but it never does now.:(

I have to agree with Autumn, however it seems as if here in NC we seem to skip that more years than not and go from Almost Winter to Winter.

However, I noticed today at work a couple of the trees starting to turn at the top around the shopping center. I suspect we're in for an early fall, especially with the cooler temps and rain we've had this week.

And if we're having an early fall, we may be experiencing an early winter. I think I may need a tent for the deck and a small electric heater so I can smoke outside without freezing my arse off.

That should go over well . . . me with the laptop, a glass of wine and a pack of cigs huddled in a tent on the deck. Of course the kitties may kick me out of the tent and take it over . . .

Eh, snow sucks. Who knew that one little snowflake can turn every road in Allegheny County into a parking lot. However, at least when it does finally arrive, it tends to hide all the dead plants and junk in my yard, including the MG's gas tank on my back patio.... :D

Autumn. You people and your crazy seasons.

We got 4 seasons here in Alberta.

Almost winter
Winter
Still winter
Road Construction
It was consistently above 20 celcius here until last week. We hit zero last night, and we're getting frost warnings. This tells me Road Construction is over, and the six weeks of Almost winter have arrived.
