So, a week ago, one of the warehouse guys at Andara's work came into the office from the Warehouse, carrying a box. Inside was a very tiny kitten, apparently abandoned by its feral Mama Kitty. Nobody else at Andara's work wanted to take the kitten home and tend to it. So, Andara did what I would have done - she took the kitten. Being that Andara's place of business is an Electronics surplus seller, the only things that should be in the warehouse are connectors and widgets. So, her name is Widget.

At the time we picked her up, we figure she was about 4 to 5 weeks old. Her eyes didn't focus well, and she didn't walk more than a step or two at a time. I could hold her in my hand with no problem. She hadn't been weaned, so we had to get cans of KMR to bottle-feed her. It was difficult at first, since she didn't recognize the bottle's nipple, but after a few days of it, she caught on, and now recognizes the bottle by sight.

Now, a week later, she's much larger (almost twice her size of a week ago), has a voracious appetite, doing climbing and kitten-running (run three steps, fall over, turn around, run three steps, etc).

What's REALLY amusing is that PetCo has a couple of pictures in their store of a cat that looks like what Widget will look like in a year - almost exactly the same markings. She's grey all over with faint tabby markings, black points, and white paws, nose, and belly.

So, enough with all the text. Bring on the kittehpix! All of these were taken over the course of the weekend. The colors on the pictures are a little off - the camera we used sucks.

Oh my, I seem to have bleened all over the place here. I just love the awkward baby walk behbee kittehs have. And those large heads on such teeny bodies!

*sigh* I'm a bit envious if you couldn't tell. LOL congrats on your new Widget!! And um, yeah feel free to post update photos. Really. No reason. *acts innocent*

Cute fuzzy little kittens make me want to get one and almost make me forget my allergies and how I can't stand to clean the litter box.

Aww, she's so cute! And her markings are gorgeous; looks like she's going to be a very pretty cat when all is said and done.

Sorry, unfortunately, this house is not video-enabled. =>_<=

Now I need to go buy a mop for all these girl-puddles in here.

I would be absolutely delighted to provide kitteh walk video... but we have not the equipment required to do such.

Now, if anyone wanted to make a donation.... ;)

If you ever need advice on how to care for young abandoned kittens, I've been there done that with baby.

Hopefully she grows up without the feral cat tendencies. Baby is the most vicious cat I've ever seen in my life, but she was the sweetest kitten ever.

SUCH A CUTE KITTY! I love kittens....

My cats were found on my cousin's boat; I assume their mother was a stray as well. They are very sweet, though. Well, when Little Miss isn't running from every little noise to hide under the bed. They were only 2-3 days old when they were found, but we didn't take care of them from the beginning. There were 4 of them; my cousin's wife raised them for 7 weeks and then we brought them home. They're 2 now and spoiled brats. :D
