this is odd

so this morning, my son wakes up, and i go to get him, and his left eye, is almost completely swollen shut. he can peek out of it, but thats it. he is almost 17 months old, so he cant tell me how it feels. i don't know if its allergies, if something is in it, if something bit him...i dunno. so i called the doctors office, and they asked me to bring him in today...

im kinda nervous though. i have no idea what is wrong with his eye, and i hope whatever happened to it, isn't too serious. he is acting normal though....its just odd, cause yesterday, his eye was fine. no excessive rubbing of his eye, nothing. just woke up, and it was like that. so im kinda baffeled at what is wrong with his eye...

a mosquito bite! from the corner of his eye did this! i have never heard of it, but i guess it is quite common in young children.

Sounds like he might have a sty, they kinda look like an infected insect bite on the eyelid.

Gah! I hate mosquitoes. Cuz they love me. And my dad. Mom and bro? Nada. Grr.

I guess it's not too surprising. The skin around your eye is a lot thinner and more delicate than elsewhere on your body, and especially in a baby...not too surprised that it might swell up more.
