Before, ever.

I don't think. I'm venting, okay? I don't know exactly where to post this, but I REALLY needed to post it.

hi.

So, uh, I have the potential to become a sucky customer. And I'm ashamed, and pissed off.

Say, you bought a book, thinking...after seeing it with one of those "special buy" or whatever the stickers say for say... just under 7 bucks. Say the book was originally 25. So you take that book up to the register, with another book that your bratty kid has defaced, so you have to buy it too... and your dumbass doesn't pay attention to how much it rings up as.

And, so it's two days later, and you're looking at your reciept and you notice that...holy crap, you were charged full price for the book. And of course the sticker is now gone from the book, because, it's a sticker, and I-- I mean you--like to take them off.

Say the bookstore you bought it from is not exactly close to your house, and you can't go and try to rectify the situation the night you discovered it, because--well, it takes at least an hour to get there, and well, it's FAR.

So, you call the store, and tell them whats up, and they ask "well, where is the sticker?" Which is a perfectly reasonable question. Fuck if you know.

Also, when you look the price of the book up online, it says the book is only say 2-3 dollars less than the list price. So you're thinking craaaaaaaaaaaaaap.

Mostly, you're pissed at yourself, because 1. you've spent 20 more dollars than you meant to. and 2... because omg, you're a freakin MORON, who should have paid attention. And you're also a little pissed at the cashier, because he scanned the wrong bar code, or something. REally, it's all HIS FAULT!....Or something.

Anyway. Ahem. lol.

Thanks for letting me vent.

I called the store, and the woman I spoke to was very nice, and told me...bring it in with the receipt, and we should be able to look it up, or something. Really. She was nice. Because the sticker is missing, I am figuring an issue. Just...WAAAAAAAAAAAH. I can't believe I said... "but i live far awaaaaaaaaay". Woman on the phone ....was obviously thinking "sooo...."

Gah. What an idiot moment. (And normally I write down what I spent immediately [well, in the parking lot], but I had a moron moment there too, because instead of writing down my total, I wrote down the "what a member would have saved" amount.)

What really sucks is that I can't drive up there tomorrow, because I actually have to work.

I am trying to figure out who I can blame for this besides me. I mean, I can blame the guy who rang me up, but uh, if I had paid attention, it would have been fixed immediately.

You know what's really funny? Yesterday, at work, I had a woman bring up a bunch of crap from the clearence section. Stuff marked as is. We are supposed to put the as is sticker over the old barcode. Whoever did it, didn't do it with one of her items, so I rang it up regular price. But this woman? SHE PAID ATTENTION and noticed before she left the store.

I'm so jealous of her. lol

nevermind me, I'm pissed. lol

*pats and gives a plate of cookies*

It happens to all of us. Really it does. Just take the recipt and the book back to the store. I'm sure they have more then one that has the marked down price. (Sounds familiar to me, is this a Walden's books or a Barns and Noble?)

Are the cookies chocolate chip? Thanks. :)

It's B&N.

I was with my mother when I bought the book, and today we went into a Waldenbooks and she said she remembered seeing the book for the same price THERE, but who knows. I can't give any logical explanation as to why she'd have actually noticed the price today.

If they'd just build one closer to me, this wouldn't have happened. Or something. Lol.

I should totally write them on planetfeedback and demand compensation, lol. Can you see it now? "Dear Barnes and Noble, I'm a moron and uh, gimme stuff!" Or something.

I know whose fault it really is. It's my three year olds fault. Yep. ;)

I'm going to go tell him, right now... "you owe mommy 20 bucks!"

Yeah, there we go.

At least ya admitted it. I try to make sure the entire store knows when I do something stupid. Humble pie is a dish best served hot.
