Early Olympic meets included events like a swimming obstacle course, live pigeon shooting, tug-of-war, and holding your breath under water (for more: http://www.aol.com.au/news/story/Tug-of-war-obstacle-courses-live-pigeon-shooting-Reliving-quirky-sports-in-Olympic-history/687711/index.html )
I thought it would be fun to come up with some other events that should be at the olympics
Darts - because then my future grandfather-in-law could have a shot at competing in the Olympics.
200m yodelling - runners have to run 200 meters while yodeling. People who stop yodelling get a time penalty.
Snowball fight - this one's more for the winter Olympics. Apparently it's an organised sport in Japan.
Javelin catching - could be held at the same time as javelin throwing.
What would you like to see?

I can't wait to see Beer Pong in the Olympics. It'd be so badass. I'd be on the American team.

Shot Glass Checkers using the alcohol from the countries participating of course. I think Poland would kick ass because I've had brandy(?) from there that knocked my on butt, although Fiji would do well if they could use Bounty rum.

"Snomo-skiing" a sport that me & my brothers and cousins made up during Christmas break one year, many moons ago. You hook up a waterskiing tow-rope to a snowmobile and pull someone who is on downhill-style skiis, across a frozen lake. Crack-the-whip would be a tie-breaker. Safety equipment is optional.

Golf.
But none of this messing about with huge courses and masses of green grass. I mean Real Golf with little windmills and assorted mechanical objects (some slightly broken) and possibly a little wooden bridge across a stream. That would sort the men from the boys.

Is Bazooka Barfing the same thing as projectile vomiting? Would need 2 categories: distance and accuracy.

How Much Beer Can You Fit In Your Mouth: Then Jester could dominate, and the fucktubas in front of me at the concert last night could argue that they were training.
Slimeball: A game my cousins and I used to play when we found a moonjump. You take a t-shirt (preferably a "slime" color, such as green or brown) and throw it at everyone. Whoever gets hit by the shirt is "it", repeat until you're 12 years old.

Quidditch :D
OFF TOPIC but Middlebury College has a Quidditch league. They run around on brooms and, well, play Quidditch. And the Snitch is a person dressed all in yellow with a black flag (like in flag football) that you pull off to "catch" the Snitch. There's an Intercollegiate Quidditch Association.
It was on ESPN a few months ago. It was HILARIOUS.
Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxPYCQ2fAUs) a YouTube video that shows some of it. Worth watching.

I would love to see Olympians performing "The Challenge". It's a game that was invented (or perfected or shamelessly stolen from somewhere) by a friend of mine at a summer camp. You need a stick or length of rope to play. Stand with your arms above your head, gripping the rope or stick. With your eyes focused on the stick, start to spin in circles. After the pre-determined number of circles, toss the stick on the ground in front of you and attempt to jump over it.
Not the funniest sport to compete in, but absolutely hysterical to watch. My favorite was when one guy tossed the stick down, took a step backward to get some distance, then another step, then another, then fell over backwards.
I'd LOVE to see that one!

I'd like to see the events my country (Australia) has won medals in, since we only seem to win when I'm at work or otherwise away from the TV!
