Wherein Murphy's Law kicks me in the groin

So in one of those Unfortunately/Fortunately things, my weekend plans got pretty much shot in the ass by my wife getting called in to work (on call jobs suck :mad: ) but it gave me the chance to have some quality time with my new XBox 360 I bought a few weeks ago.

Some of you gamer types may know where this is leading.


So I played an older XBox game for a while and put in a new game I just picked up today. It played for a while and kind of froze on a menu. I figure maybe the disc isn't sitting in the tray right, so I reboot the unit and WHADDYAKNOW I get to be introduced to that villain to all XBox owners, The Red Ring Of Death :cry:

It's covered of course since even though it was a refurb it still has a warranty from where I got it. I shouldn't have any issue getting it fixed, but the first weekend I had to actually play it since I've been painting my mother's house was a shitty time for it to bite the big one on me.

I hate that Red Ring of Death. Atleast, I was able to bring my bosses 360 home and take it back during the day.

That is the biggest reason that I still haven't thought about getting an xbox360

Dude, I remember when the Red Ring of Death was an EPIDEMIC! :lol: Zombie 360s were every where. There was no place to hide! The only cure was you had to return the machine so it could be repaired by the undead techs!
