I'm back!
I am now the senior night auditor at a posh four-star hotel. Here are the minuses:
I have to kiss more backside,
I have to listen to depressing hollywood music from half a century ago,
I commute twelve miles to downtown by bus to save money,
Now here are the pluses:
The average guest is spending what I make in a week to stay there, and they're mostly pleasant business people that sleep all night. We also get the occasional celebrity: Robert Wagner, Harpo the Clown, and Adrienne Barbeau (Whooooooooo!) to name a few.
The general manager is nuts--similar to me, but a different variety of "nuts." In short, someone I'm happy to work for.
The rest of the staff is cool, and like my previous hotel, mostly women. I'm not complaining. :)
The management prefer to have me work four ten-hour days per week, so I get full time with three-day weekends to plot global domination. Heh heh heh.
There is health insurance that's paid pre-tax, bus passes that are almost half-off, membership in a nice credit union, and uniforms they clean and maintain (dress shirt, tie, and suit jacket.)
Oh yeah, the job is easy too--especially when the guests are asleep. Heh heh.
See you all in the chat room sometime!
