Hey guys, can we get some good thought sent this way?
A friend of my 11 yo has been in the hospital for a week now after her kidneys have stopped functioning correctly. She has been cleared by a cardiologist and a neurologist for other conditions, but they still cannot figure out her kidneys. They have ruled out Lupus, Staph and bacterial infections, though.
She was supposed to have a kidney biopsy yesterday, but that was postponed due to fluid in her lungs. They were hoping to be able to do it this morning. This poor little girl is only 9, and is having to deal with this.
I know we have a variety of belief systems in this group, and I love you all, so I figure that the more good thoughts we can get, the better. Just please keep "Miss Maggie" in your thoughts &/or prayers.
Thanks a bunch guys!

Sending out many good thoughts. My cousin just had his kidney transplant and is doing very well...here's sending some of that good karma your way. I hope the little one gets through this ok and we will be thinking of you and your family.

Thanks guys! The last I heard they were still waiting for the congestion to clear up before they could do the biopsy. Her mom is trying to get her up and moving so that the congestion doesn't turn into pneumonia.
A few people went down to visit over the weekend, since the hospital they sent her to is about 3 hours away. I figure we'll wait for a little bit, but the hospital does have a really neat email system, so we have been sending her emails and silly jokes. If you know any silly, kid-appropriate jokes, I would love to have them.
Thanks again!

Sending good karma her way - after all this, fate should have at least a pony in store later on ;)

Well guys, she had the biopsy. They are waiting for the results and she is bedridden until Thursday, but she is happy and comfortable. Hopefully they will know what to do after the results are in so that she can come home soon. All the girls miss her and are looking forward to her coming home.
If anyone knows any good kid jokes I would be happy to have them, I have been trying to email her every day and I like to send silly little things like jokes or riddles with them.
Thanks!

Well guys, she had the biopsy and is at home. Results are still pending, and she is going to be laid up for another week or so from the biopsy, but for now, all is well.
Thanks for the good thoughts and jokes, I have not seen her yet, but I am sure she laughed at all of them. The kid's got a killer sense of humor.
Thanks again guys!
