How did he propose?

Well this apparently has been in the works for quite some time and everyone knew but me.

We went over to my parents house last night and while I was in the bathroom he asked my dad for his permission to marry his daughter. Little did he know that I heard everything from the bathroom. I played it cool though. When we got in the car to leave he was acting funny so I asked him if everything was ok. He said yes but there was still something off.

When we got home he finally spilled the beans and said that he was really bad about hiding things from me. Then I finally told him that I heard through the door and he just laughed. Then he went into the bathroom and got the ring that he had bought me on our second trip to Disney (it's gold with pink stones and a diamond-ish mickey in the middle, it's prettier than it sounds...I promise) and sat down on my side of the bed and asked. :D

Sounds kind of unromantic but I think it kind of fit us.


BTW...I get the real ring tonight. It needed to be sized and I guess he just couldn't wait that long. Lol.

I know how you feel! My boyfriend proposed this past March, and next Friday, Sept 5, we'll be able to book the venue we want to have the wedding at, so we'll have our official date set. It's so cool, huh?

We stayed up last night until like 5 in the morning chit chatting about how we got together and how we want to do the wedding, and all kinds of stuff.

Mushy love is so much fun.

Yes...it's very cool...I think it's just finally starting to sink in.

We did the same thing last night, we were up til like 3 AM just talking (which is really late for us). It was so much fun. We were both dead tired today though.

Congrats! We have been on the marriage train for 12 years this October, and it just keeps getting better and better. There will be times - of course there will - but if you keep working anything out that comes up, you will be surprised to find that you just love each other more and more and more than you thought possible every day.
