My friend and I were going to go and see Indiana Jones at the dollar theatre and then he decided that he wanted to go and see a "real movie". It was between Death Race & Babylon A.D. I would've chosen Death Race, but since he was paying, I had to go with his choice - Babylon A.D.

Now, there was plenty of action abound, right up unti the end - but that's the problem. It was as if the director and/or writer were so consumed with all the action sequences that they looked at their watches and seeing they were already running close to two hours said, "SHIT! We gotta end this!" and then BAM! Its over.

That's it? What they ended up doing is cramming the explanation in during the last 15 minutes of the movie and then ended it shortly after. However, the movie left so many unanswered questions and so many "huh?" in it I was just dumbfounded.

A little boy behind me summed it up best..."This movie sucked!"

The director agrees ... he's NOT happy with the way the studio butchered the movie.

The 5% rotten rating over at rottentomatoes.com was bad enough, but when I heard even the director hated it.. I'm so glad brother and I went to watch Traitor instead. Screw James Bond, that was a real infiltrator thriller.

You would think that the director has some creative control over how the movie is edited.

I mean, it's TERRIBLE!!!!

See, its movies like these that make me wish I would've read the review before hand...but I promised myself that I would never do that again because I wanted to make up my own mind and reading the reviews sometimes planted a seed that I could not unplant.

It depends. I'm no film expert - but when it comes to film, the REAL decision maker is the producer. The money man. Which is why Lucas has such a heavy hand in the Indiana Jones films - he's the money guy.

It's unfortunate, but movies like this are designed primarily to make money. The director, especially a younger director who isn't well established, often gets caught in the middle.

I'm so sad it's horrible (I haven't seen it but a 5% RT rating? Ugg.) I was really looking forward to it.

So why didn't you see a "real movie", you didn't even have one that you considered.

I know. Death Race would've been closer to real...I suppose. I like Jason Statham.

I would've actually liked it had he chosen Hamlet 2! I like to giggle.

I miss the days of Vin Diesel as Riddick. Honestly, crap like the Pacifier and Babylon AD have killed his career

He had a career?

/sarcasm

Never cared for any of his movies, personally. I love action movies, but I need them to have things like a decent plot, characters, and good acting. Die Hard, for example.

Vin Diesel or Jason Statham? How does one begin to choose?!!!

Oh wait, that's why I have this handy list. I call it, my celebrity "to do" list.

1-Jason Statham
2-Bruce Willis
3-Shavo Odadjian
4-Vin Diesel
5-Quentin Tarrantino('cause you know he's be a freak in bed)

Hmmm. The list has decided, it will be Jason! He has a higher hot rating. Has anyone noticed my thing for bald/balding men? I don't know why, but the receeding hairline gets me every time.
