So, for the past 5 years of driving, I've had to either make due with my parent's assortment of cars, or, when off at school, get around on the sketchy, slow and irregular buses or the overpriced, smelly and honestly terrifying taxis. And getting out of the city meant I had to go Greyhound or Via Rail. And forget about going paintballing without organizing a ride weeks in advance.

But no more!

My not-all-that-shiny and definitely-not-new 2000 Jeep TJ Sport. Those of who who remember my posts in other car threads are going 'Wait, doesn't Acolyte hate domestics?' Well, by-and-large, I do, but I'm willing to make an exception here, because a) There are only 2 types of parts in a Jeep-those built like a brick crapper and those that don't come in Jeeps, B) If I DO break it, I can fix it myself and c) It's about the only vehicle I can afford that will also be able to tow a U-Haul trailer across the country when I graduate that isn't an gigantic domestic sedan that I don't want to pay for the upkeep on.

Plus, it's also all sorts of awesome. Tomorrow, that top is coming the hell off.

*snicker* I have a dirty mind. *snicker*

Seriously, though, congrats!

I like my women like I like my cars-rough, dirty and topless.:p

(That metaphor only works with certain vehicle attributes, though-while 'rough, dirty and topless' sound good, something like 'seats 4 comfortably'...not so much.)
