Okay, not really true on either count, but very shortly I AM "leaving on a jet plane" on my vacation in the San Francisco/Oakland area! One more work shift tomorrow, and on Thursday, I hop in my rental car, drive to Miami, possibly through Hurricane/Tropical Storm Hanna, get on a plane (weather permitting), fly to Houston, then to San Fran, and WHOOT! on vacation.

And things just keep getting better. In addition to the Monday night Oakland Raiders game, I will make an effort to go see the San Francisco Giants baseball game on Tuesday night, as they are playing none other than my very own Arizona Diamondbacks. Double whoot! (Of course, I'll be one of the only ones wearing Arizona gear!) AND, on Saturday, to add in to my tie-ins, my ASU Sun Devils are playing Stanford in college football! True, the game is in Arizona, but I can still watch it in the Bay Area, very likely surrounded in some sports bar by Stanford fans. (Of course, I'll be perhaps the ONLY one wearing ASU gear!) Should be very amusing! (Well, if I survive, anyways!)

I also plan on possibly renting a bicycle, and getting some much-needed training in while seeing the sights and getting around to the various restaurants I want to go to, including stops in Chinatown and Japantown. I'll also try to get in a tour of Anchor Brewery, but not sure if I can, as their website suggests making reservations at least a month in advance. :(

That all sounds like a lot, but honestly, not so much. Any suggestions from any locals? Any CSers want to tilt back a cold one with me? Feel free to let me know, especially if you happen to be a hot young single often-naked woman of questionable morals. Or if you just want to have a cold one, actually!

Enjoy. Flying into Houston can be a trip. Interesting winds and the plane is driven over a highway. :)

Oh, Draggar, I know. I've flown through Houston many times. Hilarious seeing traffic stopped waiting for a plane to go by.

Even more entertaining is flying into San Fran, which I've only done once before. See, you come in over the Bay, and the plane gets so close to the water, it can be very disturbing. Especially the first time, when you aren't aware of it!
