So anyone here in chicago area?

I work in a place that supplys emergency roadside assistance. Yesterday chicago was declared a disastar area with the rain from the hurricanes dumping them on chicago.

My family owns a house in Valparaiso, IN (some call it a "suburb" of chicago, despite being almost an hour away -- as a number of people work in Chicago that live there). Apparently there's so much flooding that entire roads were closed, there were a few deaths, and entire streets and houses were flooded out (our basement in our house there had about 6" of water, as did all the other houses on the street).

Apparently.... an order of "do not use your toilet -- it'll just backup into your house -- go to the bathroom outside." was given to some places.

But where I am, I'm in the southern part of the state.... by the river that leads up to that area.... which means we'll probably have flooding within a week around here as the flood waters start to filter away.
