Who is everyone rooting for? Me personally, I'm rooting for my Yankees. Let's add another one to our long list of World Series wins!

Excellent 8-4 win for the Yankees tonight...Derek Jeter 5-5 w/ a Home Run! MVP! MVP! MVP! DE-REK JE-TER :)
BTW...did anyone see Sheffield and his split at 1st Base early in the game? I knew he could handle first base! :)

We're pulling for Detroit in the event that Oakland doesn't do well... they were crazy this year! :D

I gotta go with the Mets since my Braves fell apart this year. What the hell was that all about, anyway?
Where I grew up has the AAA team for the Mets, so they're my "backup team" so to speak. Besides, I just love Julio Franco. ;)

I'm rooting for the Twins this year-since the Blue Jays crapped out and died in August...:(
I wouldn't really be paying attention, if it weren't for Canadian boy and MVP candidate Justin Morneau. Woot! National pride!

Just quoting for emphasis. Went to the game today and it was a blast, even though it was cold!
Go A's, and Go Tigers! (Until it comes time to play the A's again, of course!)

Since my hometown Brewers aren't included, I'll be rooting for the Mets. Besides now residing in NJ, they have my guy Jose (Tony) Valentin. :worship:

Hmmmm...
The A's...used to have my obsession...
The Mets...have Tony...
The Cardinals...are the Cards...(are they still in?)
::throwing darts::
Final choice?
My Brewers. A girl can dream, right?
Seriously, I have no idea who to root for. Any National League team, I guess. Have to have league pride.

Not one word about the Yankees. If I hear one word about the Yankees losing, I'll find you, cut your throat, and watch the blood spray out. Sabe?
On that note, I'm not sure who to root for. I guess I'm going to root for the Cardinals. I can't root for the Mets as A.) I hate the Mets and B.) I'm in Philly territory. Otherwise I don't really care too much.

Detroit Tigers!
I love Alan Trammell and Kirk Gibson! Chet Lemon is awesome too! And how can you not love Sparky Anderson, their plucky manager?
All right.. for those of you who know, those players are from the 1984 World Series champions. It's time Detroit took it again. They have to; the Lions can't win anything. Someone has to bring the pride back!
I live in Florida, yet my favorite teams are all Detroit. (I was born and raised in northern Michigan)

I remember that year. Lead the thing from day one. Well, day two. They were tied for first on day one. It was my senior year in high school. One other kid and I had been tiger fans for a long time (from back in the years when the Tigers and Indians fought for first draft pick), and were amazed at the number of Tiger fans we spotted.
We weren't amazed by how many of those Tiger fans had no idea who Ron Leflore (sp?) was, though.

Well another year for the Yankees...a shame they lost, but they have no one to blame but themselves. Rumors are already flying...A-Rod is going to be shopped, Joe Torre is being replaced by Lou Piniella...its a mess in Yankeeland folks and personally I am a little pissed as a fan of this proud (or once proud only 6 short years ago) team.
Thank god its hockey season...GO RANGERS!!!

HA! Nice... I'll be backing the Wild.
And since the A's took it to Minnesota, I hope they go all the way.

Good job by the Detroit fans not to mention the Yankees at all in their posts. I knew this board was full of smart people.
Thank god its hockey season...GO RANGERS!!!
Amen to that! I told my mom this year I already started a shopping list. This year, I want a Jagr jersey. I would have gone with Kasparaitus but he's such a a dirty player. Which is why I love him. But all the Flyers fans here hate him because of it. So to save myself, I'm going with Jagr.

Red Wings fan right here, I am going to miss Yzerman not playing he was exciting to watch. Lidstrom will do well as a captain. GO WINGS!!!!
