This patch Tuesday (October 10, 2006) will be last time that Microsoft releases updates for computers running Windows XP with Service Pack 1 or SP1a. To continue receiving security and other updates, users must upgrade to Service Pack 2. Users without access to a high-speed Internet connection may order a CD from Microsoft for a small charge.

Please do the rest of the Internet a favor, and update your service pack today.
um how do you know if you have that? is there a way to check?
the only update showing up for me is a GDI detection tool

You can check what version of XP you are running by doing the following:
From Start, go to All Programs
Then from All Programs, click on Accessories
From Accessories, click on System Tools
Scroll down the System Tools menu and click on System Information
On the System Information summary, it should show what build version you have of Windwos XP (whether it be Home Ed or Professional.)
Mine has Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600 (Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.)
If you already have the SP2, you're good to go.:)
oh I already have it
yay for me !
thanks DG!
